4th of July

I am surprising my husband with a WDW vacation for his 40th bday. This is the 1st time traveling with our 3 yr old daughter. Looking for a FUN place for dinner on the 4th of July (his birthday). Had suggestions for Ohana and Whispering Canyon. Leaning towards Ohana hoping to see fireworks from the MK without having to fight the crowd at MK. If anyone has any recomendations for restaurants and looking to see if anyone has been to WDW on 4th of July wondering if it is as much of a nightmare as people say. :)

Been there done that! Very crowded! Would'nt call it a horror show though. If your planning on going into the MK get up and out early. We spent the day at MGM and it wasn't bad at all. Ohana's should be a wonderful place to catch the fireworks. Never watched from there. But the food is GREAT especially love the pinapple and caramel!:)

We were there last year, and spent the 4th at Epcot. We had a great time. Shockwave played at closing time at the American Pavilion, and then we watched the holiday fireworks/Illuminations from there-awesome. As far as dinner goes, doing it this way gives you a lot of options, since you're in Epcot. I forget the name of it, but the Morrocan restaurant was delicious! Have a great trip, and ...Welcome to Disney Central.:heart :)
