Kinda Bummed
Well, my mother in law called to make a PS for Cindy's and was told that they were already booked. She started calling at 10 till and by 4 till they were booked.
REASON? She asked how it could be already booked. The lady told her that they started booking for it 2 days before. MIL said "But I was told to call EXACTLY 60 DAYS OUT! Also, I called two days ago and was told I couldn't make it earlier (she called just to see.) The lady told her that she was sorry, but they were told to start booking the castle 2 days ahead of schedule to avoid the "RUSH". Oh man. do I have 2 heartbroken girls. Also, she was told that the only thing that had changed at 1900 park was the dinner. That Breakfast was still with Marry Poppins. IS THIS CORRECT? Thanks again guys!

That is correct. I would do either Park Place or Chef Mickey for breakfast and then get PS for lunch in the castle. This way you wouldn't make the kids too unhappy. Plus I like the lunch there better than the breakfast. I also like the Crystal Palace for breakfast also. Pooh and Friends are great. Tigger is alway a blast for the kids as well as the big kids like us. Our grandson like those three places better than Cinderalla Castles breakfast.

Welcome to Disney central! Sorry to hear about not getting the PS and about your disappointed girls.
Don't give up! You may have better luck when you get to WDW. I called from my hotel room the day I arrived and got a PS for the next morning at 8:45. Of course, I am not saying this is a sure thing and it probably made a difference that I was staying on property but, give it a shot! If you haven't been to WDW world before, you should know that there are so many things to do and so many opportunities to see the characters that I am sure your girls will still have a blast! Don't forget the EPCOT princess breakfast, either! Good luck and have fun! :)

THANKS GUYS!
This is my mother in laws 5th trip, my kids and me's 2nd trip, and my dear step daughter's 1st trip. We went last March and got into the castle with no problem. My mother in law went ahead and scheduled a PS for Crystal Palace, which my daughter's loved because my dd loves Pooh and my dsd loves Eeorye. My son loves Tigger and so he's really excited because the castle is just not his fortee. We are planning on trying to see if they have any cancellations when we get there. The kids also know that there is no promise that they will get to eat breakfast there. BUT they will get to eat with POOH if everything falls through. They were just a little upset. I think mother in law was more upset because she really wanted to get the kids in. She got up early just to call for that. She wanted to be first in line and then they changed the rules on her. She was not a happy camper.

Wow, I can't believe you got in CRT last March with no problem! That is amazing. I always have to try for days and days. But it makes it that much more wonderful! I understand your disappointment... 62 days out just sounds wrong! I'd call back and ask someone else. Was that the only day you could try for?
Cinderellafifi's suggestion of The Princess Storybook Breakfast in Norway at Epcot is great! It is really wonderful and usually features Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Snow White and Mary Poppins (no Cinderella though). I acutally like the food and the service better at the Storybook Breakfast but the location of CRT can't be beat! Cinderella's Gala Feast is a dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I can't wait for that one!! Good Luck!! |

Yep, we got in last March. Unfortunatly the day we were going for was the only day that would work out. :(
BUT, we do have the Princess Storybook already booked. The lady told my mother in law that that was was hard to get into as well, so we had better be glad we already got that one. So, the girls will get to eat with the Princess's just not Cinde, also we are going to 1900 for breakfast and not dinner. Girls want to do the breakfast there to be with Marry Poppins. So, we are glad that it didn't change! Although, I agree, nothing beats eating in that castle, but we will have to do what works out I guess. Also, mother in law called back to check to see if what the women said was correct and they told her that it was correct. 62 days out. What got my mother in law was she had called 2 days prior and they told her she couldn't make it early. MAN O MAN. I guess these are the breaks. :dazed :madmad

Mary Poppins is at the Storybook Breakfast in Epcot so if Cindy is a big issue for you perhaps you could switch and do the 1900 Park Fare dinner. That way you cover all of the favorites. Whatever you choose you can't go wrong with any of them. Disney knows how to please the kids!!

Cinderella is sometimes just sitting in the castle during meal times during the day. She has a throne right in the reception area of CRT. Maybe you could pop in to see if she is there.
Hope this helps!

Don't give up!!
Don't give up your search. If you can be flexible a seat will come available. I took my wife last August and had many of the same problems. We arrived at WDW with no PS. On a hunch I stopped by guest services at MGM & inquired about seating for the following day. We were able to get a seat just after the afternoon parade.
FYI- You might try to book for one or two persons more than you need. I needed a table for 3 & a VERY helpful Guest Services CM booked me a table for 4 & told me to tell them that "Grandma got sick & couldn't make it". They just want to fill every seat possible!! Just a thought...Maybe I got lucky but I used the same strategy this year. Seems to work so far. Good Luck!!!!:)

Hi Stitchie,
Where are you staying? When you get there, tell the front desk at check in what happened and that your girls are disappointed. They may help. It can't hurt. Good thing you got into storybook. Keep trying, people always cancel reservations, you may still get in. Good luck, Janelle

Stitchie, I've always been fortunate enough to have PS for Cindy's before we go, but everytime I've seen people walking up & getting times. Try it...as soon as the park opens though! You'll probably get something.
In Oct we did the Norway Princess breakfast. It was awesome too! I know it's not "THE" castle, but it has a really nice castle feel & all the lovely princesses you can imagine (except Cindy). We loved the food, too. Plus, make your reservation for when they open first thing in the morning then get there about 15-20 minutes early. They pick "princesses" from the crowd to open the castle up, & generally the first princess in line gets to be the special princess. I think she got a wand or crown or something. I really don't remember exactly since my "princess" is now 17, :madmad but I'm sure it would be a memorable experience. BTW, we love Crystal Palace w/Pooh & everyone too.
