Help with ADRs for CRT please...

Hi all,
I haven't been around for a while since my last trip to WDW last June. I see that there are a lot of changes to the dining plan and CRT.
When I went to WDW last June, CRT was worth one dining plan meal, and now it is two? Is this correct?
I also read on allearsnet that you now have to pay in full when reserving at CRT. Does this mean that you are reimbursed when you show up and use your meal plan? How does this work? If we are making a ressie for 9 I have to pay 33.99$ + tax X 9 people??? That's kind of steep to pay 6 months in advance????
Help please. Do I have this all wrong???

Re: Help with ADRs for CRT please...

As of February 1st, they did change from counting this as 1 table service to counting it as 2. I do not know if you now have to pay in advance. In the past you only had to give a credit card number as a deposit (Even if you were on a meal plan). And yes, you now have to pay in advance to hold the reservation. We were told that you will be credited when you show up.

I would call and ask a CM. With your reservation number, I would think you should be able to made a ADR with your credit card as a back up in case you cancel without notice. My gut is telling me that only those not on the Dinning plan have to pay in advance. Please let us know what you find out.

When we were at Disney 2 weeks ago, it was still just counted as 1, but all of the brochures in the park had it listed as 2.

Re: Help with ADRs for CRT please...

We just got back & I booked CRT for lunch & had to use a credit card to confirm the ADR. My card was not charged ahead though because I made it clear that I was on the meal plan wanted to use that to pay. However, I really did not want to pay with my meaL plan, since I thought it wasn't worth using up 2 meals. My point is that the CM on the phone didn't mind, she told me that I could just show up and request to pay by credit card, cash, or my meal plan when I got seated. They only needed a card to reserve with in case I didn't show up. Just be sure to tell them you are in the meal plan or call back & make sure the comment is in their "notes & instructions" in the computer. It also worked this way for the princess breakfast @ Norway. BTW, I'm glad I went for lunch, we all really enjoyed our meal, but I wouldn't have used up 2 meals for it, I'm glad I decided to pay out of pocket.

Re: Help with ADRs for CRT please...

Gracie,
My daughter had tons of princess interaction during our stay. The 1900 Park Fare is a Cinderella dinner, my DD loved. We say the other princesses multiple times in multiple settings. I know others disagree with me, but I don't think CRT is worth the cost.
