I've been hearing the possibility that Coral Reef may change their offerings to be more family friendly. I wonder if this change relates to new menu offerings in a friendly price range?

Yes, I've heard on other boards that I frequent that it is no longer a signature dining option and is just one credit.

OOOOOH. That puts it on the list of things to do this year. We avoided it the last time we did the dining plan because we didn't get any feedback that it was on par with the other 2 point restaurants, like Calif Grille, etc.

We dined at CR last Tuesday and it was only 1 TS. The food is decent. Definitely worth 1 TS - I wouldn't waste 2 on it though.

My DH was dying to eat there this year until he found out it was 2, so he said forget it. We ate at the Castle before it became 2 instead. So maybe next year we will eat at CR. Did the menu change?

Great news!
But it's too bad about the castle going up to 2.

We were just at CR last Week for our first time. We had lunch and the atmosphere was great but the food was just so-so. I also think it was a little overpriced for what you get. We didn't use the dining plan because as DVC members it isn't available until April this year.

That's great that it is only 1 meal now. I have always wanted to try it but we didn't on the last trip because of the 2 meal thing.
