Re: Cooking Disney recipes at home
I did. BF took a 6 week trip to Brazil last year, so I kept myself busy with the recipes. I printed out all the ones I could find. Made them, took pics, and made it into a recipe scrapbook.
Most of them came out fairly decent. But being that haven't tried everything, I don't know the original to compare.

Re: Cooking Disney recipes at home
I was all gung-ho to make the carrot ginger soup from Boma... but when I saw how much cream went into it
I decided that only getting it during those rare times I will be at WDW would be a much healthier choice!

Re: Cooking Disney recipes at home
I bought a cookbook many many years ago at WDW that contains recipes from many different WDW resorts and theme park restaurants. I couldn't tell you if they take like the real thing, but the recipes are easy to follow and quite tasty.

Re: Cooking Disney recipes at home
We recently got a bunch of recipes for our favorite items on the Hollywood & Vine buffet. My absolute favorite is the turkey pot roast and I think this thread may give me the motivation to make it.
We also have the book that includes all the recipes from last year's Food & Wine Festival booths. We need to try making some of those, too.

Re: Cooking Disney recipes at home
I bought my daughter the Recipes from WDW and DL last year and she loves it - she's cooked many things from it - including the grapefruit cake from The Brown Derby and the meatloaf from PrimeTime Cafe - they were especially good. That's one more reason why I miss the Disney Magazine - they always use to feature a recipe from one of the Chefs of the various restaurants.

I made the buttermilk fried chicken and the Tonga Toast. Both were excellent!

Re: Cooking Disney recipes at home
I have the "cooking with mickey and the disney chefs" book and I love it. I've made the cheddar breakfast potatoes from Crystal Palace several times. There are a few others that I can't think of right now too. I'm dying to get a recipe for the WDW brownies, it's still an obsession for me.
Looking forward to making sticky-mickeys soon!

Nope. I am limited in my cooking abilities and don't want to ruin good food with my lack of skill...lol Anyone who wishes to send free samples of any WDW food to me, please contact me via PM

Re: Cooking Disney recipes at home
I've made the Wings from WCC, I asked for the recipe while we were there and the chef came to the table to give it to me and talked with me about how to make them. I felt special! The wings came out great!
