Which Table Service

My wife and I(no children) are getting ready to make our table service reservations but aren't sure exactly which are on the "MUST" list. Looking for more adult/romantic meals within the TS(hope that's right)list on the meal plan. We are planning on 7 nights, here is our current work in progress list:

San Angel Inn(Mexico)-Epcot**must go
Coral Reef-Epcot
LeCellier Steakhouse(Canada)-Epcot
?Restaurant Marrakesh(Morocco)-Epcot?
Grand Floridian Cafe-Grand Floridian
Artist Point(2 TS)-Wilderness Lodge

Any suggestions of were to eat in any of the Theme Parks or Resorts? We're trying not to make any reservations downtown because of the traveling and time aspect of it. Thanks for any suggestions you might have.

Re: Which Table Service

I haven't been to all of those places but your list looks good. Have you thought about Flying Fish Cafe? We had a wonderful meal there last summer, the food and service were both very, very good.

I Love the California Grill at the Contemporary. Mmmmmmmmm Get a time around 9:00pm and watch "Wishes" from your table.

Re: Which Table Service

I traveled quite a few times with my wife. If you are looking for "romantic" atmosphere, here are my favorites (without respect to the meal plan) for atmosphere.

Citricos (stop for drinks at Mizners lounge and listen to the orchestra)
San Angel
Palio (Swan)
California Grill
Kona Cafe (Grab a hammock on the beach and watch wishes)
Tony's Town Square (a bit busy, but best choice at MK)

I can't stress enough that we had the best time at Victoria and Alberts. We are still talking about it 5 years later. It is a lifetime experience, worth an entire vacation.

My favorites regardless of romantic atmosphere...

1900 Park Fare
Cape May
Liberty Tree Tavern
Whispering Canyon Cafe

Coral Reef looks nice but I was not impressed by the food.
Rose and Crown is nice for an 8 pm ADR, you'll get your own spot for illuminations.

Good Luck!

Re: Which Table Service

Ah, you're including Artist Point. This is an absolute MUST GO! Mmmm.... If you're at all a seafood person, order their signature Cedar Plank Salmon, and have the mussels for your appetizer.

As for Marakesh, their TS menu doesn't appeal to me all that much. I'd go for Counter Service in Morocco and do my TS someplace else.

Re: Which Table Service

Some great suggestions, thank you!!! The one problem with the meal plan it that it kind of dictates where you eat. Believe me I'd love to eat at the Flying Fish but it's another 2 table service meals. If we end up using all our two tables then it kind of defeats the purpose. I'm not getting down on the meal plan by any means, I think it's awesome but then again I'm a planning freak. That's probably the teacher in me and my wife puts up with it because she a teacher planning freak as well so it works well. But thanks for the information we will definitely keep it in mind.

Re: Which Table Service

If you can swing it (Cash) Victoria and Albert's in un-matched in the Orlando area.
I don't have the words to describe the experience. Look at it.

I second the California Grill at the Contemporary.
Haven't eaten there, but did take a look around the place.

The best meal of my life was at the California Grille. Very Romantic too.
Le Cellier has always been excellent.
Enjoy wherever you choose!

Re: Which Table Service

I would avoid the Coral Reef! The menu was limited and the view wasn't any more impressive then just walking through the living seas. We were on the meal plan and it was a 2 point restaurant...but we spent less dollar wise then we did at Cap' n Jacks that was only a 1. The description in the tourist books makes this plac sound so much better and impressive then it is. On the other hand, the Morroccan Restaurant is amazing....my 17 month old son was in more awe of the bellydancer then anything else in disney world.....my husband didn't complain either....LOL!

Re: Which Table Service

We ate at the Coral Reef in 2004 and it was ok, it is now only one TS. LeCellier would be my pick of your list!

Re: Which Table Service

Isn't eating at the CReef sort of like picking a lobster out of a tank?
