Is it too much?

I am planning a trip for my son and I in December. Here are the things we want to do:

Candlelight Processional Dining Package
Hoop De Doo
Chef Mickeys
MVMCP

Is it too much planning? Also, any idea if we can use the dining plan on the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package?

Thanks!

Re: Is it too much?

Sdj,

There is never too much planning. I started about a year away from my trip. With the help of your DC friends here, you will knock out a grand trip. We have an agenda for every day, but it is loose. There are some of us that create plans down to the hour/minute. You're in good shape.

And you are in good company - WELCOME.

Re: Is it too much?

Are you crazy? There's no such thing as too much planning. I think you've got a pretty good list of things to do there... It might be tight if you're only gonna be there 4 days, but even still, you could do it. But I'm willing to bet you're gonna be there more than 4 days...

You got it! We're planning a whole week! It's a special trip, just my son and I (he and Dad are planning a week camping for their special trip, I think I made a much better choice!). Thanks for the input!

Hello and welcome to DC. Too much is never enough, this is my first year to actually plan my days. I would always just go with the flow once I landed at MCO. I'm nbot sure about Candlelight Processional Dinner Package but I'm sure there are lots of member who do.

Yeah, plan, plan, plan. BUT add some flexibility to your schedule. It helps keep disappointment at bay when parts of the plan don't pan out like you expected.

Re: Is it too much?

I like your choices. You have planned just enough. Make yourself one ADR per day for a nice meal. At least you know you have a seat for at least one meal right? Can't wait to see more of your plans and yes, your special trip is way better than camping..lol

Re: Is it too much?

Plan away, you'll be happy you did! Make sure you do the Candlelight Processsional Dinner Package, well worth it...shorter line, great seats...you're seated before the general public. When we went in Dec it was awesome because the line was HUGE! Don't know what time of the month you're going...we went the week before Christmas (18th-23rd) due to the school schedule. Also a big YES to MVMCP, try to go on a week night when the locals have to work the next day...keeps the crowds a little lower. But even with our MVMCP being sold out, the crowds weren't bad. Go early in your trip!
You'll also need to add to your planning. You must go resort hopping to see the Christmas Decorations and the lifesized Gingerbread Houses, Chocolate Carousels, candy displays, etc....it's OHHHHH SOOOOO WONDERFUL!!!
By the way welcome to DC & happy planning!!!
