Everything else looks great, thank you SO MUCH for updating this info and keeping this sticky. It's been a huge help to me!!

I was just looking on the WDW website at the dining plan and I thought that it said for children it would still include the appetizer. Am I wrong??

Re: Dining Plan FAQ

If I have purchased annual passes and have booked room only reservations for March and November, would I be able to add the dining plan?

I think the DDP is for a package with tickets and hotel. If you have an AP I think you need to add 1 day ticket to the hotel only so the DDP will take place

Re: Dining Plan FAQ

Thanks for the info.

Deluxe Dining Plan, is that a better option for families that got to eat?

THat depends on your family. For my family the basic plan was even too much food some days.

Re: Dining Plan FAQ

I have two little ones and they eat up to five times a day, so I am figuring that into the whole deluxe vs. basic. What do you think?

you could probably still get plenty to fill everyone up with the basic plan.

there are many places where snack credits get you items that could serve as a meal.

little ones eat often, for sure...but not large quantities..usually.

you can always pay OOP for extra snacks if needed, but i doubt they will be needed. even if you did pay OOP for a few little snack items, it wouldn't = the cost for the deluxe plan.

My son eats a little at a time but often so I know what you're talking about. However, he doesn't eat huge meals several times a day so the deluxe plan would be a waste for him. I would rather pay for what he does eat than worry about wasting full meals. I have no problem buying a popcorn, bag of chips or cookies, it's cheaper than upgrading for the whole family for a week.

Re: Dining Plan FAQ

Okay, the deluxe and basic is 600 dollars difference. With three meals a day versus two I am starting to see that Basic may very well be the way to go . . . Thanks for all your feedback.

Re: Dining Plan FAQ

Maybe covered in recent threads but we are staying with the free dining plan and we were able to upgrade to the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan without any trouble. Now we can enjoy the very upscale restaurants with two credits, two snacks, free mugs and a table service meal ( big buffet breakfast!) to spare. I'm calling that a deal!!!!!!!!!!!

We upgraded to Deluxe and it was the difference of $680 something or other. But it is the difference between the upgrade and basic.
