lunch at cinderellas castle
I know that cinderellas royal table only has character meals at breakfast. I have talked it over with my daughters and I think we are going to do the princess breakfast at epcot. I explained that its easier to get a reservation there. My older daughter just wants to eat at the castle, she doesnt care if the characters are there or not. So I told her I would look into having a lunch there one day. Can anyone tell me what there lunch menu is like and what the prices are for lunch. I have a WDW guidebook for shopping, dining and recreation (Its a very little book and older) but the prices in that book for the castle are $$$. 21.00-40.00 per person. I dont want to spend that much for lunch and I dont think my parents would either. IF I make a ressie at the epcot princess breakfast and then manage to get one at the castle can I cancel my epcot reservation without penalty? Thanks.
Kim

oops...another question
I saw posted somewhere (may have been a different site) that someone tried to call cindys castle for a ressie and they told her that they dont make ressies for odd numbered people. We will have 5 people, 3 adults and 2 kids ages 9 and 11. Will they sit us all at one table? (we dont mind squeezing in). Even if we have to have 2 tables that would be OK but I dont want to be turned away because I have an odd number of people.

We eat lunch in the castle each trip! We love the atmosphere. Try to get a window seat. You shouldn't have any trouble getting a reservation for lunch. We are a group of 4, so never encountered the "odd" number ordeal (although we have been told we are an "odd" party, occasionally! lol!!!!)
If you didn't have to reserve the princess breakfast with a credit card, then there is no problem with cancelling. I love the food at Cinderellas Royal Table for lunch and highly recommend it. I would much rather do a character meal at lunch or dinner (which the castle does not provide, but others do) rather than a breakfast, mainly because I dislike traditional breakfast food, and hate the thought of paying that much for bacon and eggs. I prefer to kick in a few more bucks and have prime rib and garlic potatoes!!! hehehehe! I know you will love the castle! It is a lot of fun. Even if you decide not to eat there, ask the hostess to let you go in a take a peak!!

We just ate lunch at the castle last Friday. I think kids meals were $4.99, choice of burgers or nuggets. We asked for grilled cheese, they said no problem. Adult entress were maybe $12-18. I think Prime rib at $18 was the highest. Soup, salad and drink extra for adults, kids get a drink. We did not make a ps and walked right in at 12:15. The biggest bonus was that Cindy and the Fairy Godmother were in the castle to greet us. We visited/got pics for a few minutes before going up to eat. I had warned my girls that there are no characters at lunch, so it was a great bonus.

I guess that I am in the minority here, because I did NOT enjoy Cinderella's Castle. To me it is a high-priced rip-off. Yes,the views from the windows are wonderful, but that's no compensation for leaving a place hungrier than when you enter it.

We had a lovely lunch at the Castle on March 1st. It was a great break from the heat, a beautiful view, and everyone cleaned their plates! :)
