Dining Plan Snacks

The dining plan snack options are so much better now. Just at the MK we used our snacks at

Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies - Ice Cream Sundaes
Main Street Bakery - Triple Choc Cake and Strawberry Shortcake
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor - Root Beer Floats
Scuttle's Landing - Frozen Cokes

You can use them just about everywhere on most everything. This was so nice!

How true!
There were so many more choices this year.
One CM told me anything $4.00 or lower for a snack.
Don't know if that was true everywhere.

This sounds great!

Because, really, there's just not enough food on the dining plan so it's really important that the snacks are substantial.

You are so right, we left food everywhere we went! But was nice to be able to get some refreshing ice cream sundaes on those hot days.

I really do think it's amazing that sundaes and such are actually on the list.

The dining plan is really generous. Must be working out for them, though... let's hope it continues!

I was going to mention this in my TR but I figured I woud post it there. We had a few problems in the parks using our Meal Plan snacks. A few of the kiosks had card reading machines that weren't working so we wound up having to pay for our snacks out of pocket. No big deal I guess but it happened 5 times! I wound up mentioning it to a youngerish man who was working the front desk at Saratoga Springs - okay I COMPLAINED! Because....it also happened with 2 of our counter service meals as well!! We were reimbursed for those which we appreciated but listen to what this guy said to me at the front desk: "Those people who work at the kiosks are idiots"!!!

I was so shocked that he would come out with that! At SSR some of the snacks included full size bags of tortialla chips - potato chips - Dorito's, etc. and pints of Edie's Ice Cream - which I thought was quite impressive.

We did the same thing, at one place they told us they were having problems and I just paid for it and when we left we realizied that they had charged our room for some other snacks and not our dining plan. I know that there were so many problems when they first started the dining plan that I just figured they were having problems since they had expanded it. But I love the changes.

Well, I have to agree with the SSR guy about most of the kiosk workers. To be fair, they were having trouble with the equipment frequently. Then they'd try to enter the number in by hand. Then they'd screw it up a few times.

But there was one worker in particular who had 5 or 6 ways to MAKE that reader read the card. He'd just fly through them until something took. So it CAN be done!
