BELLA LOVES THIS PLACE And Allyson does too! But let's open Bellas-Book-O-Definitions and take a looksie... Shawarma is Chicken or Lamb, but it is thinly sliced..and drizzeled with Tzaiki Sauce..which is sort of like Cucumber sauce..it's white and has cucumbers in it, and it's thicker than mayonasie..if you've ever have a gyro..it's the sauce in that (sort of like tarter only gooder) Hummus..is ground up chick peas..and Tangerine Cafe (yes--like the fruit) has the BEST hummus ever, it is sort the consistancy of peanut butter...but..it taste a little tangy (Bella has a secret love affair with hummus..and it's good for you)I am not tooo sure what Lentil salad is..but I know lentils look like little peas..they are good though

Re: Tangierine Cafe
My DW Loves tangerine cafe!!! She's a little mad we went and ate at restaurant marrakesh since she couldn't have her lamb shawarma sandwhich there, but I bought her baklava that night and it made it better during illuminations.
Actually tangerine cafe is very good, better than some of the other quick service places. One of the first times me and dw went to wdw she was so hungry she just wanted a burger, so we went to the american pavillion and got her one. Well it wasn't that great and I was hungry so I went to tangerine cafe, she had a bite of my lamb sandwhich and has been in love with em ever since. She even loves greek food now thanks to that sandwhich....hmm baba ganouj and hummus with pita bread....yumm

Oh, I love mideastern food! This is making me drool for Marrakesh (my favorite!). I don't know if they have Fatoosh (can't spell it, but that is how it's pronounced).. If they do, you have to try it. It is a fresh salad with a really yummy lemmony dressing.

Re: Tangierine Cafe
I've heard a shawarma described as an Arabian taco, but whatever you want to call it, the ones at Tangierine Cafe -- as well as the rest of their offerings -- are quite good.
As you might suspect, the name Tangierine Cafe has a dual meaning, referring both to the Moroccan port city of Tangier as well as the fruit that is grown there. My wife graduated from the American School of Tangier and she says the food at Tangierine Cafe is pretty darn authentic.

Re: Tangierine Cafe
Oh, Tangierine Cafe.... YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY. They serve my favorite hummus of anywhere!
As for the shwarma being like gyros but not gyros- yep! It's like the inside of a gyro except on bread, or with bread. But FAR BETTER than any gyro you have ever had! Ah, Tangierine Cafe... only a few hundred days until I see you again....

Re: Tangierine Cafe
I love Tangierine Cafe, by far the best Counter Service place at WDW, and a fantastic use of the dining plan counter service meals. The food is fantastic, never crowded and plenty of options for seating, either inside or out. We usually eat here two or three time a trip.
