Getting to Chef Mickey

In taking advantage of the free dining in August, the kids finally agreed to go to Chef Mickeys (I've been waiting for years for that!!!) Can all you pros advise how we would get there. We're staying at AKL, so buses are our only option, but I know buses don't go from hotel to hotel, and the parks won't be open as early as we would like to make ADR's for.

take bus to magic kingdom,if nobody is on the bus or a couple of people are on ask the driver if he/she can drop you off there,if not get off at m/k walk to monorail take that to contempory or get off the bus and walk it"s only a 5-10 min walk

The buses run early for those eating at MK places like CRT or CP. You should be fine to go to MK and take the monorail.

From the bus stop at MK it is a very short walk to the Contemporary. I would say it is faster than walking to the monorail station which is on the far side of the entrance to MK.

Here is an overhead veiw of the MK Bus Stop. The walkway to the Contemporary is to the right of the bus stop running by the monorail tracks. Use your mouse to grab the picture by clicking and holding then you can follow the path down and to the left to get to the Contemporary.

One question, are you driving or flying? If you are flying and not renting a car the best way is to catch an early bus to the MK and make the short walk to the Contemporary.

Your best bet is as everyone here has stated to take a bus to the MK and walk or monorail over. However if you plan on arriving at the Contemp. If this is for breakfest tell the bus driver you are going there for breakfest, there's no guarentee but he may be able to bring you straight to the Contemp.

Your best bet for an early reservation is a taxi. We usually do this. Can't remember how much $, but I remember it wasn't super expensive - somewhere in the neighborhood of $10-$15.

A taxi from the AKL to Contemp. would run a min of $40 each way its almost opposite ends of property.
