Whispering Canyon Breakfast

Does anyone know if the wacky hijinks that take place at Whispering Canyon also happen at breakfast like they do at night? Erin's report has me thinking Whispering Canyon is a must-do, but it looks like breakfast may be the only place I can squeeze it in.

Re: Whispering Canyon Breakfast

I've eaten breakfast there only once, and it was a number of years ago. I ate dinner there last year. While the wacky hijinks that Erin describes were present at dinner last year, and in full force I might add, I seem to remember breakfast being much more subdued and hijinks free. But like I said, it was a while ago; the wackiness may have gone through the roof since then.

By the way, why is "hijinks" always plural? Isn't it possible to enounter just one hijink?

Re: Whispering Canyon Breakfast

I was there for breakfast once and the ONLY hijinks that I remember is the watier launching about 100 straws at our table when someone asked for one. And when I asked for a diet coke, I got this HUGE jar for it! Nothing else crazy, though. Not that I can remember, we were with a huge group and the place was CROWDED!

No. Hijinks travel in pairs. It's just the way it is.

Superb usage of the word "wacky". You get approximately 73 gold stars for your post!

Okay, we stayed at WL last May, and only ate at WC for breakfast. It was chock full of hijinks, but not terribly insane! Let me know if you want spoilers. My kids had a ball!

Oh, my, yes.

But I should point out that they may be less enjoyable if you haven't had your coffee yet...

you bet, my son made the mistake of telling them we were going to Universal needless to say we left covered in Mickey Mouse stickers.

Oh and never again will I go to Universal, I'll spend my dollars at Disney.

Re: Whispering Canyon Breakfast

I had breakfast there twice in 2002 while staying there. I went as soon as they opened and there was no one in there. It was very quiet and no "hijinks" going on at all.. I was kinda happy about it because it was just to early for all the hooting and hollering..for me anyway. Later on it may have got a little busier and rowdy, but I wasn't around to see it.

Re: Whispering Canyon Breakfast

Yes, the hijinks do indeed occur at breakfast. I remember being told I had to sing "I'm a Little Teapot" before my first cup of coffee (not just me, but all the men in the room). I luv the hijinks, but not at breakfast. I'm just not a morning person, by and large.

Re: Whispering Canyon Breakfast

We had both breakfast and dinner there, and it seems like your server has a lot to do with the hijinks. We had one at breakfast that had us in tears(laughing, not crying).

Glad that it didn't happen to me and I was blessed with a quiet breakfast both times I ate there. Like you my cub friend, I am not pleasant before I am totally awake..lol

Re: Whispering Canyon Breakfast

Though it could be argued that breakfast is the best time of the day to have the kind of food they have there -- lots of meat, eggs, sausage and I think sausage gravy, etc. -- for dinner, in the evening, I'm sad to say that the beef/pork-intensive foods are not so good for me to eat as much of ("all you can eat" calls me like the Sirens to Odysseus) as in the morning, when I can digest it during the day and walk around the parks.

David
they do lunch, too, though
