'Ohana is the shrimp still.......

all you can it? We have not been there since the menu change. And when I am on vacation I am like Sienfeld, Hey George the ocean called and there running out of shrimp! So, are they still all you can eat?

It was in December. Our family ate alot of it too--except for DS who just ate the Mac and Cheese that he special ordered.

It's still all you can eat. Everything on the menu is offered to you repeatedly.

But now the shrimp is served in a dish with the sweet and sour sauce on it: no longer on the skewer. Still has the shells on though. It really slows you down, but you can do it Franco!

Like ddoll says, it's still in the shell and harder to eat in quantity. I suggest you take this as a personal challenge.

Unfortunately the shrimp change was not for the better IMHO. Now in stickey watery BBQ type sauce. Good but not as good as the original grilled shrimp. And a whole lot messier.

I'm not a huge shrimp person, but it's not really a HUGE deal to have to peel the shrimp. The sauce is pretty tasty, too.

So whats the verdict on the new shrimp then??
As you can tell I haven't been back (for dinner) since the menu changed.
Still you have to peel them?? Argh I would just rather pull the tail off and go.
Hmm personal challenges...how about we get some crawfish on wdw somewhere?? I would love to see half of yall have fun with those! lol

We were at 'Ohana last week and the new shrimp was so-so. Nothing great to me, I missed the really big shrimp that they used to serve. The rice/potato change was fine, I'm fine with either one and the bread pudding was okay but I missed the pineapple at the end. Over all I dont' think 'Ohana is a must do for us now, we'll go back again but I don't think it will be every trip now.

This is kind of what I'm afraid of. I doubt 'Ohana will be a must-do for me after the changes. I know they're not incredibly drastic changes, but enough to change almost everything that excited me about eating there.

I guess I will have to try some other places next time and find some NEW must-dos!

Oh boy, here we go again! LOL!

I have found the people who prefer the pineapple to the new dessert are in the minority. My family, and all my traveling companions on the past two trips have greatly preferred the new dessert. Of course, like all elese, it's a personal preference.

My friend Geri is still in search of anything that even comes close to resembling the Bananas Foster!

So Kim, what do you really think of the changes at 'Ohana?

I liked the potatoes but I liked the rice so that was about even to me. The salad is still good, I don't remember the old dressing so this didn't seem different to me. I do miss the shrimp wontons, I loved thoes things. The wonton chips didn't do anything for either of us, they just took up space on the table.
