Has anyone dined at the Castle? Which is preferred B, L or D? Do any of the characters visit other than the fairy godmother at dinner time? Any comments are appreciated!

Re: Dining at the Castle

Breakfast and lunch are princess events and completely different from dinner regarding characters. Breakfast is a tough res but lunch still seems to be flying under the radar, even though it is also one of the two single meals at WDW with this level of princess characters.

However, the price has jumped as WDW is including photos with the meal. Either way reserve early.

Re: Dining at the Castle

Personally, with the big jump in prices for a Princess character dining experience, I'd prefer going at dinner when they are gone.

Dining in the castle itself is enough for me. We like it there.

If you have "little princesses" with you, I would recommend the breakfast or lunch. I haven't been to dinner yet, but will 2 weeks from today. I'll let ya know what I think.

Oh, and WELCOME TO DC DMOM!!!

Definitely a good point. If you have little one and want them to experience the highest concentration of princesses (including a guaranteed Cinderella), this is the place for breakfast or lunch. If you just want an experience inside the castle dinner is the best bet. Otherwise, it's just a really overpriced MK meal.

Re: Dining at the Castle

We went in Feb. for DD's birthday. We did dinner. Along with The Fairy godmother there were two mice, Susie and Perla and they only put on a show. They do not interact with the guests and take pictures and sign autographs. Only perform. However, before your dinner, a personal photo with Cinderella is taken downstairs. Then they bring it up to you while you are eating along with a really pretty picture of the castle and a lithograph that you can only get at dinner. The food was ok, but it is a set price and a very limited menu. I think it was 3 things to choose from. Ya know like 1 of 3 app. 1of 3 entrees, 1 of 3 desserts. etc.

Re: Dining at the Castle

We went for breakfast 6 years ago when DD was 5. DD still remembers it as a magical ecperience, and If I had a younger DD I would not hesitate to spend the $. DH even remembers loving the food.

We enjoyed the interaction and small setting. The food is not all that, but we went for the characters and loved it.

Re: Dining at the Castle

We've done CRT (breakfast) and I thought it was nice. If you've never been in the castle before, it's worth it do do any meal there, even just once, to see what the castle looks like. There is also a nice view from the windows, particularly of Fantasyland (good photo ops). Otherwise, having done some of the other princess meals, this one isn't my favorite for characters. But as said before, if you have a little one who MUST see Cinderella, this is the place. The food is average, but the atmosphere is wonderful.

Re: Dining at the Castle

Bottom line, if you want to see the inside of the castle or Cinderella( (B,L), this is the place. I believe only two restaurants have Cinderella and this is one, and, of course, there's only one castle...

Otherwise, it's champagne prices for average food.

Re: Dining at the Castle

I brought my little guy 3 times to breakfast there, and I'll wait until my little girl is old enough to know who Cinderella is to take her there! Don't get me wrong, I want my little one to meet Cindy, but I don't think this meal is worth the cost right now. Especially since we have done it 3 times already. Maybe when DD is a few years older...

I agree. We've been there, done that. I LOVED it at the time, but my DD is too old now to make it worth the $. Wait until she is 5. I think 5-7 was the perfect age if you are weighing cost and you have already done it.

Re: Dining at the Castle

Last trip we did breakfast and dinner in the castle. We enjoyed breakfast, but we were unimpressed with dinner. If I were to go back, I would definitely choose breakfast over dinner. However, I would have to agree with several others who have said "Been there. Done that." It was a neat experience that I am glad we did, but not one I must do every trip.
