Spoodles-

Is it new and why all the hype? I have read several posts that talk about it. Is there something different and unique about this place?

So if I can'ts be helpful, the least I can be is funny!

Re: Spoodles-

No, Spoodles isn't new. AFAIK, it's been around since the Boardwalk resort was built. It's on the Boardwalk and has wonderful food. Mediterranean style mostly, delicious. We usually get a bunch of appetizers (grouper cheeks are our favorite). They make a wonderful meal. And the desserts are to die for!!!!

Re: Spoodles-

It's not too unique, but you can see the chefs cooking in the kitchen.
The food is really great though.
Sharing with DW I was able to have both the oak fried steak and the chicken fetuccini. And they were both top notch!

Re: Spoodles-

At the HoopDeeDoo the sangria is included with your dinner in the price of admission to the "show"...I wasn't blown away by the Sangria at HDD but the show is still a must-do!
I've yet to try the sangria at Spoodles. However, Spoodles is my FAVORITE restaurant at WDW - and you can take a boatride from there back to Epcot or MGM if you like!

Re: Spoodles-

They have these skillet things for Breakfast that are really pretty good. And my wife highly recommends the coffee (and she's a coffee freak).

Am I the only one who isn't blown away by Spoodles? It was good, but IMO, it was just that: good. It wasn't anything special, and certainly doesn't deserve all the hype it gets by most who go there.

Of course this is just my opinion, and I may have gone on an off day, judging by all the praise that it gets.

Re: Spoodles-

It totally deserves the hype in my opinion!!!

It was really good, but it's just FUN to be there! The restaurant itsself has NO entertainment, but it's right on the Boardwalk, which is absolutey quaint and perfect in every way!!!! Soooo beautiful!!! :c)

The Boardwalk is the 'draw' and 'atmosphere', with Spoodles delivering REALLY great food, with good service, in a restaurant that DOES lack atmosphere...unless you have a table where you can see the pizza window! The pizza people toss the pizza up in the air and catch it!! IT's cool!

Don't even get me STARTED on the olive tapenade!!

Nope. I wasn't impressed at all. I wonder if it's cuz we have so many great Mediterranean/tapas style restaurants here in RI? I've seen many Spoodles-ish places here, and they were all better.

We are spoiled up here, aren't we Ddoll? Plus, taking the proximity to NY in to consideration, and a few great spots up in Boston, and we are literally surrounded by great, ethnic places to eat.

Have you ever eaten at Don Jose Tequila's on Atwells Ave Ddoll?
