I know, but good thing he did or I would have shown up at Le Cellier that night at 6:30. Ugh. Thanks for all your support everyone. I think I am going to call back and see about getting a late lunch time. That is what I ended up doing for Prime Time and I got 3:55 which is close enough to dinner. I should have known that it was too good to be true to get the exact date and time at Le Cellier that I wanted on the first try!!

Re: ADR Frustration
Hey, weirder things have happend...I made a res for CRT on Dec 16th, and got the "last" lunch spot at 12:05. Well, I was hoping something would be available a little later, since it will be our last meal before our departing flight, and when I called back tonight, they had my ideal time (1:30) available, with no problems. So we cancelled one and added the other-TA DA!
Moral of the story-keep trying, what do you have to waste but time!

Re: ADR Frustration
We had an interesting thing happen when we were at Le Celliar on June 2. Our ADR was for 2:10. I told DD and her family to be sure and meet us there by 1:30. I certainly didn't want to lose that ADR since, when I originally made the ADR, they told me the ONLY time they had available for 6 people on the 2nd was at 2:10.
So we checked in and were patiently waiting to be called when a group of 8 shows up and said they had an ADR for later in the afternoon but they were starving and was there any way they could take them early. The CM told them sure, no problem. Then right behind them, another group of 13 - yes, 13 - came in and asked how long a wait would be. The CM asked if they had an ADR and they didn't know what that meant. At any rate, our group, the group of 8 AND the group of 13 were all seated within minutes of each other. Amazing since the ONLY time we could get in that day was 2:10. Go figure! The food was absolutely delicious and there was no problem ordering what we wanted off the menu from beverage (non-alcoholic) thru dessert. I had the dessert sampler, DD had the S'mores, DH had the Creme Brulee and the other 3 had the Chocolate Whiskey Cake. The only problem we faced was navigating out the door - none of us had been that full in a long, long time! ![]()

Re: ADR Frustration
Karen, because of this thread I called the DVC member services today to confirm all of my ADR's for our September trip. While we were on the phone I was trying to change my ADR for Mama Melrose's and he lost my reservation twice (he was so nice and felt so bad) apparently their was a "glich" in the system. Long story short, we got it resolved.
However, one of the ADR's I made for my inlaws was not showing up on my list so I got a bit nervous, I gave him my confirmation # and he was able to pull it up under that (I booked it under my father in laws name, not my own, that is why!). Try the old confirmation # for Le Cellier, maybe it can be retrieved. Anyways, thanks for the post, it made me think to confirm what I already had.

Re: ADR Frustration
Keep trying is the best advice. We have all our ADRR's in place but I know as things come together (now coordinating with the Grandparents) some of our plans will change, and further changes will no doubt happen at the last moment. I alway cancel ADR's as soon as possible, I'd hate to be responsible for someone else not getting a seating. I'm also convinced they hold some seating for walkins & resort guests, I was amazed at how often we were able to get seatings that morning at the resort counter or the service desk just inside each park (can't remember what they call it).
BTW - I've booked on the 18th of Aug. for Le Cellier, I have a strong suspicion it will be cancelled, just can't tell quite yet. Maybe that will help you. As to CM's looking at all your bookings, I believe if you reference your phone number, they pull up a list of all, when I've made changes they've been able to quickly see and review my other bookings. Good Luck, don't give up. ![]()

Re: ADR Frustration
you can keep trying- I was also told once that its a priority seating not guaranteed and so if you just show up you can wait for an avail table. That way if someone is late you will be seated first. We did this with CRT the first time we ever went for breakfast. We had to be the first ones there but we were seated.

Re: ADR Frustration
I say keep calling too, but don't get discouraged if you can't get an ADR. Just show up at LC on that night and try to get in.
Last year my family of 4 lucked up and got a late dinner seat at the restaurant in Italy. We were so lucky because some people with ADRs that came in before and after us had to wait (granted they had 6 people or more). Sure we ate outside, but it was nice and we had a very nice view.

You are correct -- if you book with your phone number as reference they can see them all on the screen together. The CM reviewed mine all with me last time too!

Re: ADR Frustration
I also learned that the CMs can see all our cancelled ADRs. I was double checking mine this spring and the CM read off an 'Ohana ADR that I had cancelled (moved to another night) and when I said no, he said, Oh, I see that was cancelled.
That's scary with the number of changes I make sometimes.

Re: ADR Frustration
Sooo. I called Disney Dining again tonight. The only thing they could get me was a lunch ADR on the day I wanted at 2:00 but a split ADR, so 3 at one table and 2 at another. The CM on the phone said they will try very hard to get the two tables next to each other if we explain the situation at the check in podium - I hope she is right! I am a little bummed because I really didn't want to be eating that early, but we really wanted to do Le Cellier again.
