ADR Frustration

UGH! I am so frustrated and angry right now. I called about 3 weeks ago and made most of my ADRs for my August trip. I had to adjust some of the times I wanted because a lot of places were booked ( I had a really hard time getting anything at 50's Prime Time Cafe) but I was super surprised and excited because I had no problem getting the exact date and time I wanted at Le Cellier.

Soooo, I called back today to try and get a better time for the Prime Time Cafe and I did, but I had to cancel my previous ADR for there. The CM on the phone was scanning through my ADRs to get to the one I wanted to cancel and said, "wow, you have a bunch," and started listing them and he listed Liberty Tree Tavern, which I didn't make an ADR for at all. Well, it turns out that the first CM I talked to when I made my ADRs made my ADR for Liberty Tree INSTEAD of Le Cellier and now everything at Le Cellier is completely booked for the week. I am guessing maybe he pulled up Liberty Tree by mistake because they are near each other alphabetically??

I know that this is clearly a mistake on Disney's end since I didn't even ask about Liberty Tree Tavern, we have absolutely no plans to dine there, but it didn't seem like there was anything they could do about it now.

Ugh, I am so frustrated!

I am so sorry your Le Cellier ADR was messed up, I would be pretty upset too. I'm sure you guessed correctly, the CM pulled up the wrong restaurant. Keep calling, something may open up. You can always try walking up when you get there, we cancelled our Le Cellier about an hour before our time because my DH was sick.

I had a similar thing happen a few weeks ago. We were looking for some place to eat at Epcot but all the sit down restaurant were booked. I called a second time and changed our numbers from 3 to 4 and had lots of times to pick from. Once we got to R&C I learned the CM booked us fo rthe following MONTH. We were a month early for our ADR!

I am sorry that that happened to you, but I would keep trying and see if something frees up. Something similair to that happened to us as well. They booked our reservations for the wrong day. Like they flip flopped them!

That is so frustrating! I would definitely keep calling back, and each time you call back, explain the situation again. Hopefully a time will open up...and/or maybe you will get a nice CM who will do something to rectify the situation.

Make sure they know you DO NOT want Liberty Tree, and you absolutely had your heart set on Le Cellier. Somebody (eventually) will hopefully help you out! Good luck!

Gosh - that just seems so unfair. I wouldn't want to get anyone in trouble, but it was obviously the CM's fault. I would call and explain what happened. Ask if you could speak with someone in charge. Be really nice and pleasant, but make it known that you're very disappointed... What would have happened if you'd shown up at LeCellier that night? I bet they'll find you an ADR.

Llama's right, it's the CMs fault. You might try showing up at Le Cellier ans see in they will take pity on you. R&C seated us even though we were a month early.

I think that the whole AR system is getting too big. So many people make multiple AR's that they are taking up legit spots. Im sure no-shows are up. I would be fore a $5 deposit, refundable 3 hours prior to lock in a reservation. Or some system that prevented misuse.

Did you try for a lunch time ADR. I booked Le Cellier for early October about 1 mo ago and could only get lunch, but they had several of those available. Also, I was able to get a res last year there by calling the res center when I first got there to my resort and asking about any cancellations. It was late - 8:50PM, but it was dinner.

We had a hard time getting an ADR for O'hana for dinner last august. We even tried having them do it from the resort we were staying in and they had nothing listed. However they suggested to us that we go to O'hana when they open and see if they could seat us, apparently they have a certain amount of tables for walk ins. We got to O'hana at 4:30 and sat at the bar until the hostess came on duty. They opened at 5 and were seated at 5:30...
so that might be an option also...Good Luck!!!

I am so sorry that happened. I too, would keep trying. This just makes me realize that I need to confirm the ADR's that I have already made. Did you keep your confirmation #? Maybe they can look it up by that and get you back your spot!

I would keep calling and see if they can fix it for you! Don't give up! They messed up, not you! So by right, they really should fix it! I hope it works out for you!
