Anyone do the dinner at 1900 Park Fare??

Has anyone recently done the Cinderella Dinner at 1900 Park Fare? Was it worth the $$ ? What were typical items on buffet? How was charactor interaction? I've read critics where many people feel the charactors are underepresented and weak. Only the 2 mice (and not even Gus Gus or Jack) And no Stepmother or Stepsisters. Does Disney get this negative feedback and try to improve it? Thanks, Maureen

I am very curious about it too, Twinglemom.

I would love any info about Dinner there, I've never been and would love to do on our next trip for my DD!

After reading PiratesFan's review of 1900 Park Fare, I made my ressies today! I am very excited about trying it. I know my DD will be thrilled when she sees Perella and Suzy!!

Also, check out the full menu on www.wdwig.com. It looks very yummy!!

I think Disney listens to guest comments. We went in Jan shortly after the dinner was introduced and we had to wait in a long line in the hallway to meet Cinderella & Prince Charming. Then, we only got a quick photo and autograpy... no interaction! The only characters that came to the tables were Suzy, Perla & Fairy Godmother. Fairy Godmother was really sweet but we were there for the Prince & Cinderella and alas, our 10 seconds with them was all our DD got. I think I'll give it another try in Sept. Sounds like PiratesFan had a good experience!!

We went to 1900 Park Fare for Dinner in March and LOVED it! I mean LOVED it! It was the best meal we had all week. The spinach is AWESOME! The things that were on the bar the night we went included:
Salad bar with all the fixings (LOVE The Ceasar Salad)
Soups (a cold strawberry which was good and clam chowder)
Steamed mussells
Spinach
Potatoes (mashe with seasoing these were good too)
Prime Rib (REALLY REALLY GOOD!)
A fish and chicken but I can't remember how these were prepared
Stuffed Pasta shells (good!)
And other stuff I can't remember

The desserts were bread pudding with a vanilla sauce (GOOD!) mixed pastries.

The kids buffett was chicken nuggets, corn, mac n cheese, and mini corn dogs with a cany dessert buffett.

The characters were great and I recommend an early seating around 5-5:30 it was much less crowded at this time when we were there than at 6:00 or after.

You will enjoy it!

Thanks everyone, yeah..I'm so excited!!! PiratesFan, your dinner review was tops!!!
And BDavis and Dab I LOVE your new avatars!
...and Willbegone!!I LOVE spinach, too!

We traditionally do day 1 at Epcot with a late lunch at the Garden Grill and have loved that.

However, for DD's first trip that she'll actually remember and enjoy, (....she was in WDW when she was 5 months old!) I am changing tradition! So after check in, we'll make a bee-line to dinner at 1900 Park Fare and then....the castle and Dumbo! Yeah!!! :)

Are ressies hard to come by? It can be booked 120 days out, right??

THANKS!!

AMY:p

For the time period you are talking about I don't think a PS will be hard to get. I booked 60 days out last time and had no problem at all. I did however try to call back to add my sister to the PS about 20 days out and was told I couldn't do it with out changing my time and the times were pretty much all taken but real late. So some where between 120 - 60 days out should be fine.

I wonder what would have happened if you had just showed up with the additional people and not called ahead or anything.

Well, here is what kind of ticked me off. They told me I couldn't add her and then when we arrived they sat us at a table for 6!!! I mean why the heck couldn't I add her if we were just going to be sat at a 6 top table anyway?? I wish we had just showed up with her!

Pirates Fan & Willbegone - Thanks so much for your great reviews. I am really looking forward to this dinner. Cinderella was my favorite movie(just like a million other little girls) My DH is on Atkins and buffets with meat choices like prime rib are the way to go I think.

Pirates Fan I saw the trailers for the movie it looks awesome!! Is it Disney?? Based on the ride??
Thanks again, also for your trip reports . I love reading them. It makes you feel like you were there also.
