Icon14 Cookes of Dublin

I finally tried this new CS restaurant at DtD yesterday and I have to say...
I LOVE IT!

I had the fish and chips expecting the standard regular french fries and so-so quality of fish. But it was really good! Finally, it was more like actual chips! And the fish was really good quality. When I first looked at it, the portion looked really small. But the basket it comes in is quite deep and I couldn't even finish my meal.

We also tried the lamb pie (also comes with chips) which was AWESOME! I guess it comes from Raglan Road because it takes about 20 minutes to make the pies and they are based on availability according to the menu.

I definitely recommend this place. A little pricey, but very good (and cast members get a 20% discount--just a heads up for the CMs out there). We went around 4:30 pm, so it wasn't busy at all. The dining area is really small, but perfect for people watching because it looks out onto the sidewalk and you can watch everyone as they go by. We enjoyed it. I think you can sit outside by the Raglan Road dining area because the doors open into the sitting area. But it had just poured rain, so we stayed inside.

So that's my review on this place. My goal is to try all the Disney restaurants, so I can check another one off the list.

Thanks for the heads up gingita! We are irish and love sitting down to a beer and shepherd's pie at a little pub in NYC! I'm anxious to compare this one when we're there in Dec.

Re: Cookes of Dublin

The restaurant is located right where the Marketplace connects to PI and next door to Raglan Road. If coming from the Marketplace, Cookes of Dublin is first before Raglan Road. So if you get to RR, you have gone too far.

We're eager to try this one. We loathed Raglan Road and wished we'd gone here instead.

Why did you loathe Raglan Road? We've got an ADR for there and I was looking forward to it...the cm who made the ADR told me he loved the place.

Can't wait to see the reply for this one. That sounds like something that we should not be able to eat
