Ok I have decided to change my olivia's dinner for a dinner at DTD or something close. Me and DBf are going to have a night out that night and I want to be in the DTD area. Which place takes the DDP? I am considering portabellos and just dropping the kids at DQ so me and DBF can have a nice quiet dinner alone...feel guilty about that however and should book something for the group before we drop them at DQ and go play at PI. Any suggestions? Me and DBf are meat and potatoes kind of people, but can do italian if the mood strikes us. So??

I like the way you think bella. I will ask DBF what he thinks, but that's the way I'm leaning. I think I could give the kids money to get fast food and me and DBF can use their table service credits for portabellos....hmmm. I am just trying to get over the guilt part..lol

Portabelo is out...shucks. I just called and tried to get a ADR and was told that they do not take the DDP...sheesh!

DQ didn't close....I called after seeing the bogus rumor. They are rehabbing one section according to two seperate CM's. I checked on allears and nothing is really standing out to me...maybe I will just leave it at olivia's and see what the group wants to do once down there??

I am so glad to hear that about DQ. DH and DB (Brother) really enjoy it there and I love being able to have an excuse to shop at DTD more.

As for the restaurants on the DP at DTD...we had a great time at Cap n Jacks on the last trip. It seems that Cap n Jacks has a wide variety of foods if you are a picky eater or your friend is and it was wonderful on the last trip!

Really? hmm that's something to consider then. I haven't ever really heard anything about that place. Do they take ADR's or is it walk up only?

I know Cap'n Jack's gets about 50%-70% good reviews here. Their menu hasn't really floated my boat. Don't forget that Wolfgang Puck Cafe (downstairs) takes the dining plan and is only one table credit. If you can wait until next Wednesday, I'll have a review of sorts after dinner.

I can totally wait until you get home. I look forward to hearing what you think I should do. I have never been to wolfgang's either...something else to consider. I like the idea of being at DTD for dinner and then heading to PI
and leaving the kids at DQ.

We talked to some people last week who absolutely RAVED about Wolfgang Puck's. Said the filet was great! Not really too many places in the DTD area when you think of it... Anyone ever tried House of Blues?

However, don't feel guilty about enjoying a nice dinner without the kids - they're going to be much happier with DQ and junk food.

Gail and I ate upstairs 5 years ago. It was good, but after that,I started seeing some bad reviews here, and it was too easy to keep going to Fulton's.

Llama, House of Blues is far and away better than Planet Hollywood. They're just not part of the dining plan anymore.

Sara mentioned trying the HOB when we were looking on allears tonight. I wasn't interested..lol Can't wait to hear what you think while you are there...hey your trip is like two days away! How can you stand the excitement? Are you doing the potty dance or what?

They actually don't take ADR's, but they do something almost better. When you get to DTD (if you choose to dine there) go to Cap n Jacks they will ask you size of party and so on. Then they give you a card with a time to come back. You can shop or look around during this time. When you return (at time on card) you will be seated VERY shortly. This gives you a lot of flexibility in you night!
