Polynesian Luau ?

Anyone do the Polys Luau dinner show? Just looking to see how you enjoyed it, and if you think a 2 1/2 year old will have a decent time at the show.

Thanks in advance!!!

I haven't posted a review yet. However, we got back a week ago and we did do the Luau.

We loved it! It was my 3 kids (ages 8, 8, and 7), my mil, and myself.

I am not sure if a 2 year old could keep occupied with it, but our kids loved it. I had gone to the older show before and loved it. However, this show follows a storyline now. It's not just the dancing anymore.

Some people here complained that they didn't like the food there. We all loved it and was very happy that they didn't change it at all!

My review on the Luau is it is absolutly wonderful!~

:) :) :) :)

My Disney Family and I have been to the Luau, in the past many , many times. So, in May I will be looking forward to doing the "Spirit Of Aloha"!!
As far as bringing a child , I really don't know how they would sit through the show. I remember, and of course this goes back years ago, our kids were a little older than yours, and they did enjoyed it. Of course, at that time they had all the characters at the Luau. I don't know if they do that anymore???????l Like i said, that was many years ago. ( I guess I'm showing my age here)
Well, I have to say, that we did enjoy the food, but have heard pro's and con's. I guess that goes with everything, we all have our opinions.
Hope whatever you decide , you have a great time!!! Good Luck!!! Aloha!!!!! JOANN

What is the storyline like, and did Lilo and Stitch make an appearance? My son keeps asking for Ohana's again, but he's 12 and I'd like to try something new (we also have a six year old pyro, so I know SHE'd like the show!! :D)

I am sorry, but no Lilo and Stitch. I MYSELF WOULD HAVE LOVED THAT AS I LOVE STITCH!

In fact Stitch sits right next to me on top of my Printer and watches over me!~ hehehehehehe

Anyway, the story followed something like this. One of the girls comes back from the Main land and she feels like Hawii is not her home anymore. So, her Aunt and friends ralley around her and show her that she hasn't lost her love for Hawii she has just put it aside.

Very good show, but alas no Lilo or Stitch.

:) :)

JoAnn,

Sorry to say there are no characters at the Luau. None what so ever.

However, my kids loved the show esp the fire guy!

But, like I said earlier they are 7 and I have 2 eight year olds.

We went to the luau the other night, the food was so-so in our opinion and the seating arrangements were not what we expected, so we were even more disappointed. We, my wife and myself, were seated opposite each other with the platter between us, we were not even able to hold hands during the show, never mind hold each other. All in all we will not go to another luau but will come back to the Polynesian again. As for kids, the night we went they seemed to get bored quickly.

PS: This was posted from Polyesian.

Just want to add that we noticed the kids the age you are asking about (in general, our youngest now is 16) seem to have far more fun at Ohana, and the food is the best we have ever had anywhere and in the end it is far less expensive.

I would recommend Ohanna over the Luau.
