How many PS's do you make?

Lets say for a 7-night stay. How many PS's do you make in advance?
Just looking for a feel and to see if I'm crazy for all the ones I've made for this trip.
Actually I made a total of (7) / 5-dinners / 1-lunch and 1- breakfast.
Thanks!!

Well, we will be on the low side of PS scale!! We only have one made. (For Chef Mickeys') We plan on going to Trails End Buffett but I think they said you don't have to make a PS for that one. I think if my mom and grandmother weren't going, we might do one more with the pooh characters. But we are just going to do the quick lunches and dinners this trip. They don't want to spend lots of money on the character meals this trip!

BTW, we are going for 7 nights.

We did 4 for a 6 day stay this trip BUT I wish I had done at least 5. Our next trip may be 9/10 days so I'm thinking of at least 7 PS. I would like to have at least 2 days unplanned for whatever.

I think in another post I put I only had 3 but I forgot about the one at 50's.

Heck, we may do 7 for five days. :laugh Part of the fun of Disney for us is eating and we want to know when we are going and be sure that we can when we get there. :D

I am so glad we are not the only ones who consider eating to be part of the fun!! We take our eating seriously and according to my DH that is part of my family's whole reason for going on vacation! :laugh :laugh Of course you can tell that by looking at us!

We too plan our trips around the meals. I would say for a 7 night trip, we would do about 10 to 12 PSs. Usually a dinner for each night, a couple of character breakfasts, Kona Cafe and then a lunch or two scattered around.

I love this post! As soon as I decided where to stay I dove into the dining portion of our trip.

We are staying 7 nights in August. I am planning 5 PS dinners, 1 breakfast, and the Hoop Dee Doo.:D A bit much...I don't think so.;)

We will be going down to WDW next month and we usually make PS for the Castle, the breakfast at Chef Mickey's and if we want to eat at the California Grill. We made them for Mother Day Brunch this year. But we only make them for the real hard ones. We have never had any problems off season in making reservations. Those three during the off seasons are always hard to get.

We had made PS's every morning just before going to a park for dinner then. This allows us lots of flexibility on our schedule. You never know what the weather for the day will be until then. You can't have that flexibility during the peak seasons or some of the regular season. So no you aren't over booking your PS's if you are heading for WDW during those periods.

I make at least one PS per day. If you know what your touring schedule will be, it just makes sense to go ahead and get the PS. Remember that every phone call you make now, will be one less line that you will have to wait in later.

Oh, and pick the first PS available for the meal...you will be seated instantly (without any wait) so that you can eat and be on your way!

last trip, we had ps's all over the place for each day. we ended up cancelling most of them. this time we have o'hana for mothers day, hoop dee doo, ohana character breakfast and an illuminations cruise. The rest I guess we will wing it. Last time having to be on such a schedule was just too much for us. I'm a schedule person but no one else in my family is so....
Anyway I hope that it works out for us this time

Odd man out

We have 4 solid days at disney and two half days. I only scheduled 3 ps. Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace, and Boma's. I think any more buffets and I would explode.

Seriously, this is our first trip so I am not sure what to expect and my kids are munchers, the more flexible we are with meals the better, very picky 3year old, and an 18month old that would snack all day if you let her. To plan on alot of scheduled sit down meals would be a waste of money for us.

I was just thinking about the food at disney today. I can't wait to get there. Not sure what my counter says today, I think it's off

26MORE DAYS TO GO YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry had to do that:whistle:

Well lets see, we usually make one for each night we are there for dinner. We try to plan which parks we'll be in from day to day and make our PS's for dinner accordingly. Then we usuall do one maybe two character meals so those are PS's also. SO when we go in August we are staying in WDW for 7 days so we will be making 6 PS's for dinner and however many breakfasts we decide to. I always like to have at least a PS for dinner, that way you know your gonna have a place to sit and relax for a little at dinner.:)

We will be at WDW for 8 days and I have 8 PS meals planned. Here is what I have planned at this time:
Day 1--dinner at Chef Mickey's
Day 2--dinner at 'Ohana
Day 3--lunch at the Plaza Restaurant
Day 4--dinner at Fulton's (10th anniversary!!!)
Day 5--breakfast at Chef Mickey's and dinner at Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Day 6--dinner at 50's Primetime
Day 7--lunck at Tony's
Dady 8--no plans yet

I like to know that if we want a nice meal we can eat where we want to and if plans change --so what. We are not locked in because of PS times, we can always cancel or just not show up and we are out nothing (except the BBQ). Part of the fun for us at WDW is the food. We like to eat and usually do plenty of it while on vacation.

We were there for 6 days in Oct. and I think I had 10 to 12 PS's. I am a firm believer in eating well on vacation and my DH just goes along for the ride. I made a PS for dinner each night and I am pretty sure I had a PS for breakfast almost everyday. My kids loved all the character meals and it was a nice break. We usually filled up on breakfast, light lunch and had nice dinners. I just enjoy eating out on vacation since we don't do it that much doing the year.
