Dining Pass or whatever it's called

Guys, I was just wondering if you could tell me how the FL. Res. dining pass works. I think it's a discount, but how much of one? Would I need to be someone who goes super frequently for it to be of benefit?

I believe it is a 20% discount at the restaurants listed below. Here is the info directly from Disney:

Please note that once information for application is received, it takes 2-3 weeks for your card to be processed, mailed, and delivered to your Florida address. Please plan in advance. Disney's Dining Experience is not sold or processed for its immediate use at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Proof of Florida Residency Guidelines -
To purchase Disney's Dining Experience you must be 21 years of age or older and provide one of the following:
• Florida driver's license
• Florida state-issued ID card (must have Florida address)

Here's the most current list of restaurants participating in Disney's Dining Experience. You can even print this page for future reference.

I have this card for the last year and love it I have used it everytime we have gone in the last year every morning at the food court at all stars or the mara or dixie landings( por ) food court and then at the whispering canyon cafe and at ohanas and also at nine dragons we paid 60 dollars at the time for it ( we had the disney club card ) and it has paid for it self in the money we have saved we estimated for all the times we have gone we have saved about 200 dollars it it well worth the money it costs because like mickey said its 20 percent off oh yes we also did the hoop dee doo revue with it . Mine is up in July but I am renewing it because I cant see ever going to disney with out it again unless the discontinue it like the disney club card

I just recently signed up for it. Before I got it,the bill at Boma was 25.55 with tax. Now it is 20.44 with tax. I've been to Boma twice and Cape May Cafe once with the card,so I have saved already at least 15 dollars with it!!(Also went to Beaches and Cream twice and Mama Melrose's with it).I know I will save a ton of money by the time it expires.

The card is called Disney's Dining Experience, and is only available to Florida residents. If you're an annual passholder as well, you can get the card at $5 off the regular price.

The DDE card is good for a 20 percent discount at virtually all of Disney's table-service restaurants. The 20 percent discount applies to meals AND beverages (yes, alcoholic beverages, too). You don't even have to go to a restaurant to have the discount apply. You can go to a Disney lounge and get 20 percent off your bar tab. And the card is good for parties up to six people.

DDE members also have the opportunity to attend special food/wine events that are offered periodically. Members receive a newsletter that describes them.

My wife and I have been DDE members for years and think it's one of the best deals anywhere in the World. We have the advantage that it's a 30-minute drive from our house to Disney property, but even if you eat at one of the more upscale restaurants just two or three times, you'll cover the cost of the card. It's definitely worth it!

Thanks for your help, it seems like a pretty good deal. To make it worth our while, we'd have to start going to disney more :p
