OK where should we eat our first night?

Well Northwest Airlines just screwed up our plans for our trip. Nothing to major, but our return flight was originally going to leave 7:20PM. Now it is leaving at 4:30 PM. So it shortens the day quite a bit that we were planning to spend at Magic Kingdom. So now what we have decided to do is the first night we are there we will check into the hotel and then head to Magic Kingdom for the EMH that evening. We were going to spend the evening at Downtown Disney and eat at the Rainforest Cafe. Now that we are going to MK where do you all think we should eat that evening? We are on the dining plan. And we are going to eat at Crystal Palace later in our trip.

Thanks for your advice.

What about one of the monorail resorts? All three have great food options on the dining plan.

Honestly, I think the worst place to eat a sit-down dinner, especially on the first day, is INSIDE the Magic Kingdom.

I agree eat at a monorail resort.
We always start our first day at MK and our first dinner is at Chef Mickey's!

Re: OK where should we eat our first night?

You could try Liberty Tree Tavern at MK, or Ohana's at the Poly or take the boat over to WL for the Whispering Canyon! (I was going to say Crystal Palace, but I see that you are doing that later on during your trip.)

Are you going to want to eat before or after fireworks? This can make a big impact on your choices.

'Ohana is always a good choice for a MK night, it's quick to get to so you aren't wasting much park time.

Our first night meal is also Ohana's, but you could also try Chef Mickey's or Liberty Tree Tavern? Or whatever resort you are staying at?

Re: OK where should we eat our first night?

Speaking of Ohana, my neighbor has "WDWOHANA" on his or her license plate. The first thing I thought was, I live amongst a fellow Disney addict. If I ever see the person get into their car, I'll strike up a conversation. I live in NYC, so it won't be unusual if this "meeting" didn't happen for years.

Sounds like you have made a choice. But you could also do Tony's in MK. Just one more choice.
