New kids food

Does anyone have any comment on the kids portion of the dining plan? I know that all of the kids food became the same everywhere, and I was wondering if it got changed back... This might make our decision on whether or not we use the dining plan... Thanks.

Re: New kids food

To the best of my knowledge, the new dining plan for kids is still in effect.

Yes, when I was there a couple of weeks ago, it was in full effect EVERYWHERE we ate! It's not a bad portion size, though. My 5 year old and my 19 month old shared every meal!

Did you feel the kids got bored with the food? We're doing several buffets to avoid the tedium.

Re: New kids food

You know, my liked the meals, but this was back in October and they were not in effect everywhere. I think they may get bored after a while, but on the flip side my kids would eat PB&J every day if they could, 3 meals a day. But wait -- no PJ&J on the kids menu!!!!!! Arrrgh!

Re: New kids food

Are the kids always limited to things like chicken nuggets, pizza, mac & cheese?

My son will be in heaven, but I can see my daughter getting bored when she sees what dh and I are eating.

Re: New kids food

for $10.99 a day you can not go wrong. Buffets are a great deal for the kids, plenty of options, desserts. I like to use them in a special setting like Coral Reef, Narcoosee's, etc.

Re: New kids food

Don't forget you can share Your meal

I mean, the kids have to order off the kids meal, but you can order an appetizer, whole meal, and dessert (that's a lot of food) and let them try some things.....although we only have one child and it would get hard with more then one

I like Cavey's idea about the buffets, then the kids get to eat what you do...that will be fun for them!

That's another thing we plan to do. Theoretically, my kids will eat Mac & Cheese until they turn a buttery yellow--but that's just theory at this point.

This is most likely what I will do. My (almost) 8 year old can't stand food off any kids menu, so she'll order it because she has to, and then share with me. I can never finish a whole meal anyway.
