Yeah, end of Oct./beginning of Nov. would be perfect. That's when I'm looking at going. I got free dining last Sept. (after a long battle with AAA) but I can't go that time this year.

I have to say, though, that I won't miss it much. I actually found it to be too much. It really was too much food for me. I'll most likely not be getting DDP for my Oct/Nov trip this year. I'll still eat where I want (I HAVE to eat at Spoodles and Le Cellier), though. I don't worry about money on my vacation, within reason. That's a rule.

OMG, I was telling DH about free dining, and he said "so why aren't we going during this?". I wanted to beat my head on a wall because he's been saying NO, NO, NO to Disney. So now, if I can get free dining and good airfares to coincide, I can actually get him to go! Come on free dining! Hopefully this will all work out...maybe for the week after Labor Day when we're supposed to be at a family reunion!?!

How long does the free dining offer go through ? We have reservations for Dec16-21 already but it would be worth it to change reservations for free dining if it not available that late in the year.

Well, supposedly they will make the offer available to the general public at the end of March/early April. Once the offer is announced, you can call back and have your ressie changed.

We are TOTALLY going to WDW this fall if there is free dining and the airfare stays relatively cheap!

Needless to say I REALLY want them to have it!

Does anyone know what the dates for free dining were last year? Will the dates be the same for this year? I am planning a trip to the Mouse House August 10-19 and it would be awesome if I could get free dining.

I don't know a lot about the Disney Dining plan, as the wife and i have yet to partake in it.

What i do know is that last year it was FREE around late August through most if not all of September. That much our travel agent confirmed. I'm sure others can give you more specific details.

Sandy and i are going Sept 14th - 22nd in hopes that Disney Dining is offered free again. From what i've read, it's a great deal even if you have to pay for it.

Yes, bail on the family reunion....if you go that week, you can have a mousebuzz meet and greet. There is going to be so many of us there that week! Start researching airefare now...I think the dining is going to happen. Besides, a MB meet and greet would be way more fun with you!

I feel the same way. We've gone in September the last 2 years & had the free Disney Dining Plan. It was great! I'm aware that it's being done for the UK & Ireland later this year, but I haven't heard anything regarding US! If anyone hears anything, it would be great to find out.

!! If the dates will actually be 8/5 - 9/29 then I am in luck for the first time. We have a trip in the works for 8/10-19 and now I'm going to make sure that we definitely go.

The dates last year were through 9/30. I know this because my friend took his family and arrive that very day while I was leaving. He had free dining. Remember, you only have to have one day of your stay within the free dining time period for you to qualify for your whole trip.
