Anyone been there? Is it one or two credits on the Dining Plan?

Re: Flying Fish
I believe it is two. My parents ate there and loved it, said the food was really good. I think Disney teacher also has eaten there too

Re: Flying Fish
It's two credits, but check out the menu carefully at AllEars. If you can't get your per person total over $75, consider not getting appetizer and dessert and pay out of pocket. Remember, the sit down meal should cost $35-40 per table credit in order to make it cost effective. Or, eat at Big River one night and Flying Fish another night, Big River is not on the plan, but two can get out of there for about $50. It's always a matter of balancing your table credits and your appetite.

Re: Flying Fish
Dr. Teeth and I ate there in May of 2005 and thought it was just wonderful. Great food, wonderful service -- very high end Disney dining experience. And we really like going to the Boardwalk, so that is a plus. Good luck!

Re: Flying Fish
We were there in the summer of 2005 and it was wonderful, by far our best meal of any trip. We left the kids in the Sandcastle Club at BC and had a nice adults only dinner with friends.

Re: Flying Fish
Turnwrench and I went in December and we Loved it. In fact, it's Mickey's favorite resteraunt. Although, I would rather go to Calafornia Grill.

Re: Flying Fish
It was my favorite restaurant until this past fall. The chef, Jens Dahlmann went to the California Grill in mid Oct. I'm not sure what has happened at FF since he left. I actually posted a note today asking if FF has a new chef since Jens left. He's very creative and did a marvelous job at FF. I haven't had a chance to try the CA Grill since he started there.

Re: Flying Fish
FJS, I was just looking at the updated menu, and it looks pretty much the same, unless they're putting personal tweeks to the recipies. Same goes for Cali Grill except I think there's a new "where dreams come true" dessert.

Re: Flying Fish
On the CA Grill menu, I noticed the Foie Gras which Jens had at FF. Also the Peeky Toe crab which was at FF.
I saw a veal chop on the menu at FF which looks great. Never saw that before. We usually stay at an Epcot Resort so we frequent the restaurants in that area, plus Epcot and Brown Derby. I should go over to CA Grill to try it out next time there. Frank |

Re: Flying Fish
I thought they've had foie gras for a while. You are right about peeky toe crab cakes. I'm trying to remember where I've had a veal chop and keep thinking it was Portobello Yacht Club in DTD. I seem to keep going back to Narcoossee's, Cali Grill, Fulton's, Concourse, Kona Cake, and to a lesser extent Flying Fish and Yachtsman's, plus the usual character breakfasts and perhaps lunch or dinner at Crystal Palace..

Everyone has their favorites where they feel comfortable, know the people, or just like the food. What amazes me is that some of the CM's we've come to know are still at the same places since the early '90's. Disney must do something right to keep them. Frank |

Re: Flying Fish
We have never been lucky enough to get a table at FF... but fortunately, Spoodles is just a moment away, so we never go hungry! LOL
