Dining Plan - a couple of questions
We have never had the dining plan before. There are a few ifs for me.
First, though, if the plan is $10.99 for a child per day and say you want to eat at O'hana for dinner which is $11.99 then you are already ahead? That sounds too good to be true. The glitch is that we are arriving at 9pm our first day and leaving at 6am our last day. That means that we have to pay for days we can't use. But, can we use the credits for dd's boyfriend who we will be visiting (intern at Epcot) when he joins us for dinner? If we can do that and use the other CS for some breakfasts then it seems like it would be a good deal. Thanks

Re: Dining Plan - a couple of questions
For most everyone it seems to be a good deal, we use it everytime we go. Most days we use the price we paid for the whole day in one sit down dinner. The dining plan is put on your room cards and you use one card to pay for the meals so you shouldn't have a problem purchasing a meal for anyone you want.

Re: Dining Plan - a couple of questions
If you have extra sit down credits, and I believe you might only have one per person, go to one of the signature restaurants like California Grill or use the extra for a character buffet breakfast. Also, it doesn't matter how many credits you use or when. If you want to have a guest eat dinner, it's one more credit. If you need to split a check, make sure the waiter or cashier knows that only x meals are on plan and the rest is on credit card, cash, or charged back to your room.
As said, if you have a good sit down dinner every night, it should equal the cost of the day's cs, ts, and snack. Also, with the snacks, you could use them all at once to by prewrapped items and take them home instead of letting them be wasted.

Re: Dining Plan - a couple of questions
Thanks, I really think we might do this. I think we could use them up if we do a sit down 3 nights with an extra person and then eat food court breakfasts on the plan as well.

Re: Dining Plan - a couple of questions
How old are your kids.
The reason I ask is - my kids are 10 and 11 so they have to pay the adult rate. The dining package is no good for us. Also your kids HAVE to eat off the kids menu. Plus they do have a very generic menu at all (almost all) resturants. |
