A coworker gave me this cookbook a couple of weeks ago and I have had fun looking through it at all the restaurnats that are no longer at WDW. Some of the restaurants I remember but others were gone before I made my first visit to WDW.

Do you remember any of these? They were before my time. Some examples of long gone restaurants listed in the cookbook are:

Empress Room (I think this is now Fulton's)
Papeete Bay Verandah (at the Polynesian)
Terrace Buffeteria (Contemporary)
Gulf Coast Room (Contemporary)
Terrace Cafe (Contemporary)
Fisherman's Deck Empress Lilly (Now Fulton's)
King Stefan's Banquet Hall (now CRT)
Coral Island Cafe (at the Polynesian Village Resort) sounds funny to hear that
South Seas Dining Room (at the Polynesian Village Resort)
Tangaroa Terrace (at the Polynesian Village Resort)
Coconino Cove (Contemporary)

Does anyone else have this cookbook and have you made any of the recipes?

I have this one and also volume two in volume one I made the new york cheese cake on page 236

I've had Volume II for years and have made a couple of recipes from it and one has become a staple for us. I dig it out when we are getting ready for a trip adn try to come up with a "Disney meal" to get us in the spirit.

I bought that book on my honeymoon back in 1987 (I can't believe I'm going to be married for 20 years). The book is no longer in good shape, but I still use it. There are some good recipes so enjoy it.

We ate at all the old Polynesian restaurants back then, and we had dinner at the Fisherman's Deck which was in a word, fabulous! It's a shame that Disney changed the Empress Lilly, because the three restaurants that use to be on the boat were all terrific.

The only one I remember is King Stefan's, the rest were before my WDW days.
