Crystal Palace or Tony's
Planning a sit down meal in the MK one night for our upcoming trip in May.
Which would you choose: Crystal Palace or Tony's. I've heard some people on here say that they didn't like Tony's. Was it the atmosphere, the food, or something else? We've eaten at CP a few years back and it was quite good then. I remember them having a good selection at the buffet. Would you say it is still the same? Thanks, Kathy

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
I think Tony's has come around from years past. I have only read positive things about that restaurant lately. Crsytal palace is still a great place to eat as well, so you have a tough decision to make. If you think your family will be better off at a buffet that has more options for people to pick from, then go to CP. If your family likes Italian, then head to tony's. There are also the characters to consider too. Do you think that your family will enjoy the characters or a quieter meal? You will have to weigh these options to decide. Either place will be fine quality and service wise. It's what your family likes and is happier doing that will be the decision maker.

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
Between just those 2 - Tony's. We aren't huge Pooh fans (I know, I know) & would choose menu over buffet. We had Tony's for lunch in Oct for 1st time - it was good, not something that I have to go back for, but good.

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
We have eaten at Tony's in the last year. It was for lunch, food was good not a loud place at all. We would go back again. Both of us would rather order than do buffets.

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
If you have children, then I would go with CP, however, I prefer sit downs to buffets.

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
For me, in a contest between Crystal Palace and Tony's Crystal Palace will always win. For me, Tony's has a limited menu and it was simply OK when we ate there in 2004. CP is a buffet with a wide range of choices for your dining pleasure plus the added attraction of characters who disturb you while you're eating. Warning, CP can get pretty loud at times.

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
We have eaten at both places and liked them both as well. We do like to do CP for character breakfast and enjoy Tony's for dinner. The Tiramisu is fantastic at Tonys if you decide to go there.
I guess it would depend what you prefer in terms to a buffet or being served. We usually try to do a combination of both during our trips. What other places will you be going to?

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
Personally, I can't bring myself to pay that much for spaghetti and meatballs at Tony's. And you know it's not going to be gourmet Italian food either.
We actually really like CP. The food there is quite good and the place itself is very pretty.

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
Tony's is one of my all time favorites, I go every time I visit WDW. It has a great atmosphere and good food. Tony's is usually pretty quiet. I haven't eaten in CP for the longest time, so I can't really comment on that but I've only heard good things about it.

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
We really like CP. We had Tony's during our last trip and though it was good, we are just big fans of CP. Lots of variety, very good deserts, and Tigger, too. You can't beat it!!

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
We've eaten at both. Tony's atmosphere was nice but the menu was limited and we really didn't care for our meal.
We ate at CP for breakfast not dinner but would love to try it someday. Good luck in your choice.

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
Honestly, I think their spaghetti bites. It's over thick, I prefer thin or even vermicelli (No. 10 or 11), and also prefer my pasta al dente. This is my personal opinion and does not reflect on other people's preferences.

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
Crystal palace will win hands down ... When I ate at Tony's the service turned me off My husband and I are on WW so we ordered a steak to share it came out luke warm and the veggies came out cold When I told the waiter that . he said that how they serve it .. well I didnt want to make a big fuss because we were with Friends from Colorado so DH and I just ate it .. after that experience I said I will stick with restaurants that I know or have heard only good reviews from

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
Hey Kathy, maybe I am a trouble maker here, but... I hear such good things about Liberty Tree Tavern... the positive feedback is pretty overwhelming. The food is served family-style and is reported to be delicious! I have also heard very, very good things about the burgers at The Plaza!
Good luck, and remember that all MK restaurants will be filled with magic!

Re: Crystal Palace or Tony's
I just ate at Tony's in December and it was just OK to me. I probably won't go back for a few trips. The restaurant was very nice and the waitress was a doll, but the food really was just EH.
