We are going to have dinner at Akershus and was wondering how it works. Is it a buffet?

Do you order an item or items?

I have read different thing about the service and a bit confused

Its actually a combination of both. Its a salad bar with cold items for appetizers and you can order from the menu as well. The food and atmosphere are really nice and the princesses come to your table. As you enter you can have a Photo pass picture taken with one of the princesses but its a little pricey though. My family really enjoyed it, its a good way to meet all of the pricesses in one setting.

Thanks, but how do you order from the menu? Do you get it from your server????

Your server brings the menu items and dessert to your table while you get the cold things from the buffet line. We enjoyed it the last time we went and I think we are going to go again this trip. It's different, but good!

Yes, its the typical restaurant style.
