Cinderella's Royal Table

Okay, so my family and I are going to be in WDW from June 27th - June 30th, and we have never actually eaten in the Magic Kingdom! I mean an actual sit down dinner here. We were thinking about doing dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table, so I thought I'd ask the advice and opinions of my extended family here at MouseBuzz!

So tell me, what do you think of Cinderella's Royal Table? My boys are a bit uneasy because they are thinking "it's just for girls"! Are they wrong? I hope so! Please tell me anything you can about dinner there! Thanks!

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table

I love cinderella's for breakfast, but only do it every few trips. It's a tad on the expensive side for a breakfast and not easy to get. Unless your boys are totally into princesses, I would skip it and go to crystal palce in the mk. They have a fantastic character breakfast that may be more boy friendly then breakfasts with the princesses. My DD and I go to CP every trip for breakfast. Schedule first thing in the morning (8:05 is the first seating) on a nonEMH morning or for the very last seating (I think it's 10:45am) on an EMH morning.

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table

We've done CRT for breakfast as well a couple of times and it is pretty much geared toward the girls (present were The Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Mary Poppins). Crystal Palace is good for the Pooh/Tigger/Piglet/Eeyore in all of us but I've also heard good things about the character meal at Liberty Tree Tavern (although I have not personally experience it). Don't forget, Chef Mickey is just a short monorail ride away at The Contemporary Resort.

Have fun!

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table

There is something different about the character interaction for dinner at CRT, I'm just not remembering what I've read. I'm pretty sure Cinderella is NOT there; not sure about other Princesses. I believe Fairy Godmother is there, but it's more a celebration of birthdays and the like. But it's still expensive. And I believe all 3 meals are 2 TS credits on the dining plan.

Cinderella is at CRT along with Mary Poppins, Belle, Beauty and Wendy but only at Breakfasts. The Fairy Godmother is there but in the greeting hall where you wait until your table is ready and she does photo opportunities. Dinner is not character. So for your boys I would say that an evening meal would be better if you want to eat at CRT. Dinners are ok, nothing special but the fact that you are eating in the castle seems to make it worthwhile and an enjoyable experience....esp if you get your ressie for around the time of the fireworks with a window seat!
If, they are still not convinced by this then I would suggest somewhere like Crystal Palace with Pooh Bear and friends, LTT with Goofy and MIckey etc or Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary with Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Mickey and Minnie.

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table

If you are looking for a MK alternative, I highly recommend Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner. Basically it is a family style Thanksgiving dinner with the characters. Very fun!

CRT for dinner is good. It is on the $$$ side, and it fills up fast (not quite as fast as for breakfast) but still fast. The food is good, and the atmosphere is nice.

Re: Cinderella's Royal Table

CRT is a fabulous experience. don't worry about the boys, they will be caught up in the magical castle. Just about every Disney symbol is a castle. How often do you and the kids get to dine in one. If you feel that it is not for the boys, go for dinner, there are no characters then. Definetly try it once.
