Well let me first say that I am a seafood snob
because of my location. Seafood in general and lobster above all. Being just minutes from some of the very best places to get these things will do that to you. All you can eat places can be hit or miss. The one around here Custy's is good and I am told the Nordic Lodge in RI is very good. But the ones around WDW are somewhat iffy. We went to the Boston Lobster Feast on I-Drive and it was only a minute before we were out of there! We went in, only one other party there and were sitted. the forks and knives were dirty and all were bent There was a lobster tankwith dark, dingy water with ONE little lobster in the corner looking like he wanted to say "Kill me Please" it was sad I thanked Omar and wewere gone! This was on one of our first trips and we still laugh about it to this day That same night we tried the other one on I-Drive, Lighthouse Lobster Feast and it was on the down side of ok, if nothing else filling. Now wait!! There is another one that I have never seen, its WildFlamesLobsterFeast.Com anybody know anything about it? Its in the "Crossroads" area. Let me know if anybody has tried it. I thank you kindly

Re: All You Can Eat Lobster Buffets.......?
I don't have much hope for this place, I
just came from thier site and there were and are lots of mistakes! Lots ofmisspelled words I know that itsa person/company designing the website but I would think that they would have some interest in making sure of its content. Of well, let me know if you have been there.

We ate at the Boston Lobster Feast once. Once! It was pretty bad. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place either, but if I were nearby, I'd drop in for a look.

Re: All You Can Eat Lobster Buffets.......?
We have eaten at Boston Lobster at Sand Lake and OBT by Florida Mall, that one is not bad.
We have also tried Angels and Capt Nemos, and didn't like them much.

Franco, can't help you with the FL locations, but I can tell you that the Nordic Lodge in Charlestown RI is very good. It is in the middle of no where, but well worth it.

No offense meant to anyone outside New England, but Franco - you're a little older than me (just by a few days) - haven't you figured out it's just not worth trying??? Don't do the seafood!!!

Re: All You Can Eat Lobster Buffets.......?
Aye...
Seafood outside of the east coast is like going to Red Lobster. Bleh. I'm not much of a seafood person. I'm allergic to Lobster so i'm not much of a help looking for good Lobster Bib dining <g> A few years back, the family all went to Disney and we got a rental car. We ate at a lot of places on the strip outside of Disney. Checkers, Olive Garden, Black Angus, Friendy's... that kind of stuff. On our last day Sandy's father was craving for an All You Can gorge yourself Lobster feast. Well, we found one and boy was it a big mistake. The poor old man and half the family was sick all the way back to NY the next day. Me however laid low and never touched the Lobster or any of the other seafood faire. To this day i will always bow to the lousy mac 'n cheese, rubber pizza and chicken nuggets. I lived and was happy to do so. -Keith

The best place for Lobster I have found is the Lobster Shack in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Worth the trip!!!

Re: All You Can Eat Lobster Buffets.......?
We ate at Angel's one time, just outside the gate on 192, and it wasn't that bad. DH had been wanting to try one of these places and I'd heard bad things about Boston Lobster so we gave Angel's a shot. Like I said, it was okay, but I'd much rather be eating at a Disney restaurant!!

Franco, a smart Quincy boy like you should know better.
Didn't you try the twin lobster tails at Cap'n Jack's? Was it good? I think that if you REALLY want decent lobster in Florida, you'll have to put out some cash.

Re: All You Can Eat Lobster Buffets.......?
OK people, lets not panic
I was justasking about that third restaurant that I had not seen before. I will admit that Florida and lobster just don't go together, that is it. Maggie, if you don't do any seafood down there how are you going to have that great red snapper at Emeril's? Or his shrimp appetizer? Or the excellent Asian Bouillabaisse and the mussels at the Tchoup Chop? Salmon at Artist Point. There is lots of excellent seafood food down there. I don't think I said anything good about those All You Can Eat places in my post. And from where I sit up here in Quincy there are many places that do awesome lobster dishes. Maine being IMHO a generic term lobster wise meaning the whole "northern coast" produce quality lobster. And yes dear girl I am a day or two older than you! ![]()

Re: All You Can Eat Lobster Buffets.......?
OK - I stand corrected. I do admit I have done some seafood dishes at Emerils - last time I had the Clay Pot which I think was a seafood/rice dish with various types of seafood. But, you can NOT get good lobster outside New England!!! I agree Quincy probably has some pretty good places, as do many in my area, but not ouside New England. I'm not saying that Maine is absolutley the only place to get Lobster, but I just had such a fantastic experience in Cape Elizabeth - literally a shack on the cliffs/ocean with a view of 3 lighthouses. Just an amazing experience overall. If you get a chance to go to the area, it's worth trying just for the ambiance!
