Definately worth the rtip! These are great ones too: Modern Appizza on State Street, and Franks's Also on Wooster Street! new Haven Pizza is teh BEST IN THE US!!! Believe me, I am a navy Brat and have had it in at least 30 states and have not found another that compares! (although I am a Southern CT Native!)

Pepe's is very well known- I mean VERY but truth be known- Im a greek pizza person and was not as impressed as most. But that is me-

I've never been there, but have herd of it recently.

Although I have never been there, Pepe's has been written about in all the food magizines and is considered *the best* in the USA. Sally's is there also, and is very good. BTW Pepe just opened another Pepe's pizza in Fairfield, on the Post Road. Please note, on a fast day, you will probably wait 2 hours just to get a seat. My son eats there all the time and just loves it.
Another great pizza place (although the pizza is probably no where near Pepe's) is Willington Pizza. The variety alone is worth the trip. I believe it's on Route 44 just north of Storrs-the College Basketball capital of the World. |

Willington Pizza is great! When I was in college we used to go there all of the time to get Pizza. Have to agree!!!!
