...is the dining plan added to your ROOM or your TICKETS? (Or does it have to be both?)

I don't know why I can't remember this!

Is the policy the same when free dining is offered?

This is a good question. I know that it is tied to the MYW tickets somehow.

It's attached to your ROOM...it is based on the number of nights on your ressie. I know this because we didn't get tickets when we went last month, but got the DP.

Thank you so much Kim...that is what I was hoping to hear!!!! (We have 3 days worth of tickets, but really want to get the DP...I was afraid if the DP was attached to your tickets, the ones we have would go to waste!

NO problem! When you schedule your trip for August/Sept/Oct (*FREE DINING*) just book the MYW package with a 1 day MYW base ticket, or however many days you will need. I did that for our August trip! I have SO MANY DAYS left on other tickets, I just didn't need them! So I just bought the 1 day MYW ticket for each of us, so we could get the DP for FREE. Even if you pay for the DP, you still have to buy a minimum of a 1 day MYW base ticket for everyone in your party...except for Ali, of course!

We will probably want an extra day or two of tickets anyway, so that will work out great!

So, in related news.........if I book my resort before free dining is announced, can I have it added to my ressie, or do I have to rebook?

(Or do I have to book & pay for the DP, then have my $$ refunded after free dining is announced?)

Sweeite, if you book a 'room only' ressie, you pay for your first night at the time you book. You may cancel and get your money back 5 days prior to your arrival.

Then, if free dining is realeased, you'll need to change your ressie to a package to include the dining and at least one day MYW tickets for you and Ryan. The deposit will be larger at that point, and the cancellations policy will be different, but you'll be set!
