Wolfgang Puck Express

Hey guys...I am trying to see what places I'd like to try in August. I ALWAYS pick new places, in addition to some old favorites.

I just checked out the Wolfgang Puck Express Menu...is it REALLY Counter Service?? There are so many awesome choices on there!!!

Has anyone used a CS credit from the DP at Wolfgang Puck Express? Can you tell me what you were able to get? And most important, WAS THE FOOD GOOD?

I'm not too sure about credit of the DP for Wolfgang Puck but I do have to tell you that they have some delicious butternut squash soup. The sandwiches are pretty good too. There used to be one at an outlet mall close to where I live and they recently closed it. My sister and I were soooo sad about that.

I don't know about the DP since I've never had it, but I loved the food there! I got pasta (ravioli maybe? Can't remember) and the sauce was so good! They added fresh herbs right there in front of you and it was fabulous! It is counter service, though. Most of the seating was out on the patio which was quite nice later in the evening since there wasn't anyone else around!

I don't know if that is included in the DP or not.....I think soundgod has been there before...almost certain he has. He may know.

We ate at WGP Express in September and loved it! They do accept the dining plan as CS. (There are a few items that are not included, but most are)
I had the BBQ Quesadilla

DH had the Linguine Bolgonese and raved about it as well! IMO it is one of the best CS places we have eaten. We have it on our schedule for our next trip again.

We have eaten there twice and loved it! The chicken pesto sandwich is really really good and so are the mashed potaoes! Yum!

My kids did not like the mac and cheese though, I think because it had like four different chesses in it. You could always get them something from Mickey's D's if there is nothing on the menu you think they would like and you and DH could order from WPE!

we ate here in 2005 (wow, didn't seem that long ago till I typed it) & it was yummy. I preferred EoS, but this time we are doing both (well, as of today we are, who knows what my plans will end up being!)!

I am not sure about what is included on DDP tho - I really need to check into it all more (for other places too)

Here is my idea:we need a thread that is just for each restaurant, and it could have pics, favs & least favs for that restaurant & what is included on the menu for DDP. I mean, Cali grill for instance, is sushi an appetizer on DDP? Surely there is someone who has gone to these places & we can have these important answers! LOL! I volunteer myself to report back all I can find out (but, it won't be till October!) :)

We've ate there twice Jan. 05....great couldn't stop thinking about it and a must for the following trip

Jan 06....horrible and a waste of time.....at that time there were so many limits on the DP CS credits and we couldn't get much....although it sounds like that has been changed

I think it might be worth another try.....if you choose to try it tell us what you think

The Express is certainly several notches above average "counter-service".

The garlicky mashed potatoes and chicken are excellent. And the salads are amazing! We've used the DP there.

Actually, between EoS and the Express, the Marketplace has two great places for a counterservice meal.

I've eaten at Wolfgang Puck Cafe, which is the downstairs restaurant in the middle of DTD West End. Wolfgang Puck Express is way on the east side of DTD, near Art of Disney and World of Christmas. I haven't had a chance to try them, but am interested.
