Thanks for the updates! i have one more question on the DDP......do you get a little booklet or brochure upon arrival at reception which explains it all a bit more in detail and list where you can get the snacks etc in each park? Would be great if they did, to help us new to the scheme!

Polly, I actually got our little brochure off the Disney web site- i think I just put dining plan either in their search box or Google
I printed it off and it really is very detailed and makes sense as like you, its our first time and it is a little confusing in parts.

Like Dixie said, you do get a small brochure when you check in (you can also get it online) but it isn't very specific about the snacks. It only lists a few items (piece of fruit, water, ice cream) NOTHING as detailed as this list.

For a snack, you can probably get something ANYWHERE. As long as it's under $4, just simply ask the CM if it's eligible as a snack.

Thanks Kim, I am going to print this list off and tuck it in the Dining Plan brochure to take with us, as you're right its nowhere near as detailed and up to date as this list so thanks again.

I'm right there with you in doing this Karen. It never crossed my mind to do this before now....how am I?!?! ha ha !

My philosophy about this has been when in doubt ask. You'd be surprised what you can get as a snack. They are adding things all the time. My DH was disappointed to find that they no longer carry the Nestle cookie ice cream sandwich. Instead he got this....

It was yummy, although the cookie was a little hard so the ice cream kept smooshing out, it was really yummy and very big. As you can see, it's the size of the plate.
