Hoop Dee Doo question???

Ok we decided to pay for the Category 1 seating. So I booked today for AUGUST 4th!! I figured calling so early and paying for Category 1 it would guarantee a seat right near the stage, however, the CM did not know how that tables were assigned. Is it still, the earlier you book the better table you get? Does anyone know?? Or do we need to get there MEGA early to get the best table? HELP!!

It used to be that the earlier you booked, the better the seat. I am not sure how it works now. You should call back and ask another CM...one of them must know.

Are they assigned according to how early you book or how early you check in?

You would think, huh? But the over planner in me has called back twice and still no answer to that very simple question! I would think calling just about 180 in advance would help but no seems to know.

BUT I am doin' the HOOP DEE DOO dance anyway cuz bookin' it means my trip is that much closer!!!

Re: Hoop Dee Doo question???

We were told the earlier you book, the better your seat. Not sure if it was true or not. I can let you know in June. We booked early for HDD and the Poly.

Re: Hoop Dee Doo question???

My mom booked months before the actual date of the show, and we got the table right in front of the stage.

I'm not sure how seating works based on when you make your reservation, but I KNOW it doesnt matter when you check in. I went a few weeks ago and was the first family to check in (which meant my lil cousin got to go on the porch and ring ma's dinner bell!) and our table was waaay in the back. I'll see if I can get better info!

Re: Hoop Dee Doo question???

I don't know how it works, but I know the one time we booked well in advance we were seated on the 2nd floor. When we went last time, I made the ADR about 30 days from the show. We were a party of 7 and we were seated on the first floor at a table very close to the stage. Who knows, plan well in advance and we had poor seats, plan quickly and got great seats.

Re: Hoop Dee Doo question???

It used to be that the earlier you reserved (up to 2 years in advance) the better your seat. Now that they have tiered seating arrangements you are guaranteed the best seating if you pay for tier one. That being said, DDP only allows you to book teir 2 or 3 seating. I do know that the tables are assigned in advance, when you pick up your tickets at your resort they will have your table number on them. Last year, though, we were one of the first in line and our table number was over 100 and when we got to the door the man crossedout that number and put a lower number on it so we go first floor seating near the back. someone must have cancelled and we got their table. We could still see everything great. We also have had balcony seats and could see just fine. Where ever you sit you will love it!
