Teppanyaki vs. Liberty Tree

OK, just read that Teppanyaki rehab doesn't start until April 15th (called Disney Dining and also confirmed this date). Since we arrive on the 12th I can still squeeze it in. The only place I can see to fit it in though is the night we have an ADR for Liberty Tree. We've never been to Teppanyaki but have been to LTT and have really liked it.

Was wondering was everyone's opinion would be: Teppanyaki or Liberty Tree?

Could you fit Teppanyaki in for lunch? We did that last year and had a very nice lunch.

I would cancel liberty tree since you have done it before and book the other. Try something new...you may love it there.

Re: Teppanyaki vs. Liberty Tree

We ate at Teppanyaki last week. It was just okay as far as Japanese food goes. The kids menu consists of chicken. That's it. We had a fun hibachi chef but the food was just eh.

Re: Teppanyaki vs. Liberty Tree

So glad you asked this question! I assumed Teppanyaki would be closed when we are there end of March. I will call today to make adr's - it is one of our fave places to eat!

I tried to eat at the Liberty Tree but cancelled because we never seem to want a big heavy meal while riding our brains out at the MK. Esp. after eating all our favorite treats: dole whip, cream cheese stuffed pretzels, etc. Not to mention, starting the day with a CP breakfast.

Re: Teppanyaki vs. Liberty Tree

I'd go with LTT...I am sure that Tepanyaki is good--but it just seems to me that it's the "same" as your average cook on the table type place...LTT has charcters and yummy food...i wouldnt pass it up!

I'd go with Teppanyaki! Especially since you've been to LTT in the past! Try something new! It's really good Hibachi!! We had a GREAT meal there in December!!

Hmmmm...what to do, what to do! Well LTT fits in better with my plans - but I think I will give Tepp. a try since I've never been there. I think DD will enjoy it too. Also after reading Woohoo's TR I'm a little afraid of LTT now!

Re: Teppanyaki vs. Liberty Tree

We enjoy Teppanyaki. But remember that you'll be seated with out people.

If they're friendly, it can be great. But last time we had a surly family who made it clear they resented having to share a table with us. (didn't help that we thought it was funny and kept giggling throughout). But people like that can really spoil your meal. On the other hand, we've had a great time there with a family from Texas.

I like the menu at LTT, but it never seems to fit into our schedule.

Re: Teppanyaki vs. Liberty Tree

We have reservations at LTT this year. The menu fits my family, good ol' american cuisine! First time going to the character dinner instead of the breakfast!

We were seated with a famous hockey player...although his name escapes me. My DH would remember it.

I think I would be giggling too! Things like that just crack me up!

Re: Teppanyaki vs. Liberty Tree

I love sitting with strangers! Sometimes it can be FUN and other times, just funny like Llama said!!!!! You don't have to talk to them if you don't want to. Just expect to be seated with other people, unless you are a party of 8.

Re: Teppanyaki vs. Liberty Tree

We sat with a very unfriendly family last week too! And before we sat down the hostess said - have the kids sit at the ends of the table. Ok - I have 3 kids, did they want the whole family to split up? LOL I sat my 9 year old in a regular seat so nobody got stuck with the unfriendlies.
