Quick & Casual meal vouchers

Can someone please tell me what these are. I see alot of these Quick and Casual meal vouchers for sale on ebay. Where do you get them are they worth it and what is the cost. The ads on ebay all state that you can use these vouchers for your whole meal and so it appears to me that you could buy these and then have your meals prepaid before a trip, but I am skeptical!! I am also skeptical of the park hopper passes that are being sold on ebay. Anyone had a positive experience with buying their park hopper ticket through ebay before a trip? Every year I debate about whether or not to buy my tickets on ebay and every year I chicken out.

Tina

I have had good experiences buying park hopper passes on ebay. I would say GREAT except I did buy one from a guy and then got down there and the one day was missing. He returned my money and apologized. I think he really was sorry.

I just bought 4 adult 2 day PH passes and 4 child 2 day PH passes. I figured out that I paid $3.50 extra to make it a hopper pass over buying one day-one park passes at the gate.

Just be careful. I have heard of people who have bought them and they didn't work. The sellers disappeared never to be heard from again.

But my experience (probably about a total of 24 days' worth) has been good - one outstanding.

Good luck...

Thanks for the info. Looks like we're going to be at WDW at the same time.

These were actual sale prices in December, bought directly from Connections123.com directly:

Quick and Casual Meal Vouchers: $11.
Breakfast Vouchers: $17.50

I forget how much the lunch vouchers are.

I saw some of the lunch vouchers going for $20 each, and felt horribly sad for the people buying them!! I'd heard of this before, but never really seen it until your post.

Seriously, a great alternative is to go to the Disney Store and buy Disney Dollars. You will still have meals 'prepaid' and if you don't use them all, at least you won't be stuck with something with a very limited use.

You are right! My trip is very limited, but if you would like to catch up and just say "hi", I would be game. Just let me know. (I am not a weirdo...:nervous )

Hi, Alextina! I have had experience buying the vouchers on ebay. I did not know you could get these anywhere else, so I bought a bunch last year. (I paid $14-$15 each...something like that) They COULD be a good deal, depending on where you go to eat. Last year, one of the restaurants was BEACHES AND CREAM, which is an amazing table service restaurant with a desert called THE KITCHEN SINK that sells for $21.99...and that was included! Sad to say, it is not included anymore, but the vouchers are still a good deal at this restaurant. I think at the fast food restaurants at the parks, you will probably break even...though you can find some deals to make it truly worth it!

As for buying tickets on ebay, I have had a great experience. I bought one ticket and decided I wanted to buy 2 more, but it was too late for me to buy since I was going to Disney the next week. The seller told me he was located in Orlando, not too far from Disney and that he had a "store" where he sold tickets out of a hotel. He gave me the address and my husband and I found the place...boy, did we get a good deal! We bought 5 day park hopper plus passes. These passes usually have 2 plus options on them...well, ours had 4 and they were also $40 cheaper than at the gate! So I definitely think we got a great deal. You just have to be careful who you buy from. If it will help you, I will find the guy for you, and let you know who it is on ebay...it's been almost a year so I forgot his name! He was a nice guy and he really did have a "store" where he sold all kinds of tickets...to everything you could imagine!!!

That sounds like fun. We'll have to see if we can work something out.

alextina, I suggest you check out an earlier link

This explains the vouchers in detail.

I have not purchased tickets nor vouchers from E-Bay. I simply would not do that unless I personally knew the seller. I have heard some 'I am sorry that I did that' stories from people who did purchase WDW tickets on E-Bay. They are just so darn expensive that I would feel really awful if I wasted my money buying a "maybe" thing on E-Bay instead of purchasing my tickets from a traditional vendor (Disney or one of the authorized ticket agencies.) I am one of those folks that subscribes to the "buyer beware" credo (and "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!")

I have had no problems since joining Connections in October.
I did do a yearly membership and not the $1 trial. The vouchers worked great in December and we just got the new ones for June. I would not purchase them from e-bay because they go way over the price. At 11.25 for Q&C , it is worth it at most restaurants and very good at some. More than that price and I don't see the purpose except that you have pre-paid meals.

Q&C are 11.25(lunch or dinner at counter service)
Breakfast 17.50(any buffet or full service including charac)
Kingdome Lunch 27.50(lunch at full service sit down WDW)

They all include tax and gratuity where applicable. I have used Q&C and Breakfast, but think the lunch coupon is overpriced for a lunch although you can use them at the Epcot rest and I guess it would be worth it, just not our touring style.
Connections does say you can only buy 40 vouchers within the yearly membership, but I'm not sure if that means 40 total or 40 of each kind. I'm sure the folks who buy then sell on ebay for a profit would know. I don't anticiapae ever needing 40 in one year. Hope this helps.
IMHO, buying WDW tickets on e-bay is playing russian roulet! There is no way of verifying that it is a valid tickets with any days left until you get to the parks. To risky for me. By the way, prices for WDW passes thru connections are even better than ticketmania and they also sell universal tickets and discounts and gift certificates to rest. and TOYRUS, Blockbuster. I think I've done well using them this year.

Connears - if it's any help, it's 40 per category, but I've a friend who's a DVC member and she's more than maxed out in the Q&C category. They've got theirs down to a science.
