Le Cellier or Trail's End?

Hi, all! Between Le Cellier and Trail's End, which do you prefer and why? I'm traveling with Dbf and his DD and they are fussy meat and tater types. My DD and I are not. Thanks!

Re: Le Cellier or Trail's End?

Um, did you see the last poll that had LeCellier in it? i have a feeling it will win no matter what its up against!

I haven't been to either, but am DYING to try LeCellier next trip, so it gets my vote! Trails end must not have gotten my attention, I don't even remember reading about it. Is it a buffet? hmm, maybe I need to spend more time with the menus!!

Re: Le Cellier or Trail's End?

These are two very different resturants. We love buffets and always stay at FW, so Trail's End is included in every trip. They have shrimp and ribs, plus yummy bread pudding.

I've not been to Le Cellier, but if you love steak, I hear it's THE place to eat.
I think Le Cellier is more expensive of the 2, but the atmosphere is really nice.

JMHO.

Cold, you peel 'em. All you care to eat shrimp and ribs are always good.

Re: Le Cellier or Trail's End?

I forgot, they also have a carving station. Sometimes they have beef. I have also seen turkey, ham, and chicken.

They have chili and cornbread. Several soups and salad. Macaroni and cheese and pizza.

Re: Le Cellier or Trail's End?

My family and I are also thinking about Le Cellier due to the fact that Teppanyaki will be closed when we are there!

I'm curious as to what folks who have eaten there have to say about it! I'm not hijacking the thread or anything, just kind of.......................sitting in!

We just ate lunch at Le Cellier last week, and we had incredibly good food: Cheddar Soup and Steak Salad! Delicious!

Re: Le Cellier or Trail's End?

LE CELLIER is the BEST meal on site! (well, to me it is! ) I have NEVER EVER been disappointed with this place. We go every trip. Even paying full price for the meal, it is SO worth it!!!!!! The cheddar cheese soup coupled with the pretzel breadsticks can be a meal alone. YUM!!! And if you like Filet Mignon and mushrooms, DO NOT PASS UP their signature dish, Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon. It is served with mushroom rissotto and some fried parsnips on top and OH MY GOD, it is absolutely DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!

I don't think there is ANY comparison between a buffet and an amazing sit down meal at one of the top restaurants on property! Not knocking Trails End, but compared to Le Cellier....you just can't!

Re: Le Cellier or Trail's End?

I'm wondering about the cheddar soup also. The menu at allears says it is with bacon and moosehead beer. I'm not a big fan of bacon or beer, but I love cheddar. Can anyone who has had it tell me if the beer flavour is noticeable?
Thanks!
Kathy

Re: Le Cellier or Trail's End?

The ONLY problem with Le Cellier is trying to get a ADR.

Wonderful food. I have to agree it's the best meal onsite.

The beer flavor is there, but it's subtle. It works wonderfully with the cheese and adds a nice depth to the soup.

Re: Le Cellier or Trail's End?

Le Cellier..hands down. I dont think you should skip Trails End if it's something you really want to do..but I think you should rework your question to Trails End or One of the other places I am eating. Le Cellier is in a class by itself!!
