Unsuccessful PS for The Royal Table

Hey, I always heard that Dinner was easier to get into at the Castle, so I waited a bit before making my PS arrangements. I had six total PS's to make, with the Fantasmic package and The Royal Table being our top priorities.

Well, I got the Fantasmic Package ,thank goodness (my first time ever seeing it, we always got shut out in the past), and the other four PS's. Anyway, the Royal Table was booked for the entire day. :nooo: I still have about 3 weeks before our trip.

Should I keep calling, if so... how often should I check back for availablity?

What are the chances we could just walk up and get in that night, around 8 or 8:30 on a spectro/fireworks night?

An alternative we considered was the character Turkey Dinner at Liberty Square (forget the name - Liberty Tree Tavern ??), is this a good place to try?

Thanks everyone, as always.

I'm sorry to hear that you weren't able to get Cindy's Royal Table! Its good though that you were able to get all your other PS's!! I have heard that sometimes people call back every few days, hoping for cancelations and get lucky.(They have so many people calling for one PS, and if they each get one, they call back later to cancel all but the one PS they really needed!) Also at check-in they check again for any cancellations!! It never hurts to keep trying! Pixie dust your way...hoping you get it!!

So, you are saying I should go ahead and make a PS at Liberty Tree Tavern (or whatever.. will check tonight on name) just so we have something, then if I manage to get the Royal Table, I can cancel that one. If I can't, then we will still have a place to eat. Good idea, thanks.

btw... can you see Spectromagic or the fireworks from Liberty Tree Tavern?

We are doing the Liberty Tree Character dinner. I have heard nothing but great things about it.

Yes, I"d go ahead and make the other PS, I think it's liberty tree tavern, or something close to that:dazed . I'd still keep trying for the other, and if you get it, then you can cancel the Liberty Tree one. I do not think you can see spectro magic from inside there, though. We ate there once, a few years ago. Most of the seating is inside and to the back. I'm not sure how good the view is from the few windows they have. Maybe someone else knows? Good luck!! You can go right outside and see the parade from there. I"m not too sure how the view is of the fireworks from right outside either.

Well, you are right, the best thing to do is get an earlier PS at Liberty Tree. The reason we wanted one so late at the Royal table was because we have heard that they dim the lights and play the Fireworks music if they are going off while you are eating there. So we should plan to eat earlier anywhere else and watch the Parade at Liberty Square and use our Priority Viewing vouchers for the Fireworks. Hey, I forgot I had all these options. I'd been so stuck on eating at the Castle. :laugh

This is the first I've heard of priority viewing vouchers for the fireworks!! What restaurants give them out?

Sorry, :p you have to use a Silver or better plan to get those. I also got Priority Viewing for Illuminations and the Jammin' Jungle Parade. :D
