Princess Storybook

I am looking for a little time frame help. I just read you need a credit card for PS for the Princess Storybook Breakfast in Epcot. If you do not cancel 48 hour before your PS or do not show they will charge your CC $10 per person.
SO, we are staying at the WL in Aug. I want to call tomorrow for PS for the breakfast, but I would like to know about how long it will take us to get to Epcot and the Restaurant? We are early risers. I hope to get the kids going by 8:30. Any suggestions on a good time?

Thank you!:)

FYI....I reserved last week for CRT breakfast at MK. They charged my credit card $10 per adult and $5 per child. This was not a hold. It was an actual charge. I presume they will take $30 off our bill when we eat.

I don't know how long it take to get to Epcot from WL, but transportation starts at 7am for people needing to get to early breakfast reservations.

My DH & I did the breakfast back in Dec. I cannot remember if I needed my Credit card for that one. So , I can't answer your
question. I also was wondering how they let you enter in, since the World Showcase's do not open till 11am. Well, there is a CM standing there with a clip board, you give him your PS time and name, and your off to Norway.
When I have PS's I always give us about an hour and a half.
Good Luck!!! JOANN:)

Thanks! I just read the new PS policy for Princess Storybook Breakfast on www.wdwig.com. Effective April 20, 2003. I guess I will just plan a later time...and enjoy the morning. It is the middle of the week. Maybe I will make it our "down day".:D

From WL you'll either have to take the boat to MK & then the monorail to EPCOT, or take the bus straight to EPCOT. You then have to walk from the front of EPCOT back to Norway. I would allow at least an hour. Later time is probably better.

Thank you everyone. I made the PS for 8:50. They had that time or 10:00 available. My children are early risers, so I' m hoping to get moving and out the door by 7:45. The gal who took my PS said it takes 20 minutes to get from the front of the gate to the restaurant. That brings me to 8:05. Can I make it from the WL to Epcot in 45 minutes??? I hope so!!:)

I made a PS for the Princess Breakfeast for July and I didn't need to leave a credit card. Did they ask for one again when you called back? Also, do you know if the International Gateway is open for those going to the breakfast instead of going thru the front gate?

When I made ours for Princess last Oct they didn't need a credit card. But that was when it was brand new, so maybe things have changed. The International Gateway DOES open at the same time the front gates open, even though World Showcase isn't open yet. We always stay around the boardwalk area & that's how we always get in. First thing in the morning we love to walk that way down through Future World, stop at the Fountainview Bakery for breakfast & lattes, & then go on to the monorail to get to MK if we're heading there. I love the convenience of that gate.

This is a NEW policy with the credit card that is effective April 20, 2003. It was only announced the beginning of April 2003. I am assuming that if you called for a PS for July, you probably got in under the wire and it will not apply to you. All of us who make PS in beginning with April will need a credit card.;)

ArielBelle,

If you don't need to grab a stroller, you'll definitely be fine.

We allowed 1 hour 20 minutes for the same trip in March, and it took us exactly 1 hour 20 minutes. Everything that could go wrong did - had to wait for the bus, stop at Fort Wilderness, slow lines going through the entrance...but the real kick in the pants was that they only had 1 cast member at the stroller/ecv rental place, and it took forever.

We made our ps before th credit card policy. We have a ps for 10:20am,so that we can take advantage of EE then have a nice meal. We did CRT last year and they did subtract the money at the end of your meal.

Re

We did the storybook princess breakfast on May 8th ( I think) but it was wonderful. I didnt need a CC when I booked my breakfast. When you get to the main gate at EPCOT there is a line especially for people who have a Princess Breakfast ressie, just get in that line and when they open the gate just follow the people. It took about 15-20 minutes to walk to the restaurant from the front gate.
