Breakfast - Crystal Palace. That place just reminds me of a place I used to visit with my grandmother a lifetime ago in Europe

I'll probably go against the grain here....but my choice is LUNCH at the Crystal Palace. Lunch is great because if you make it a late lunch you get to go in during the HEAT of the day, beat the lunchtime crowds by eating after 1:00, and since you are not eating at dinner time, there is no rushing to get back in time for the fireworks, etc. It makes for a great mid-day break without leaving the parks! It's also cheaper then dinner and we don't do big breakfasts, we always bring breakfast bars or bring cereal and buy milk at the resort.

Chef Mickeys at around 11ish...so it's technically lunch..you just can't beat Chef Mickeys!

Breakfastasarus is also another awesome one...I like to make it there for as early as possible and walk through the AK all alone!

Breakfast at Chef Mickey. You just can't find a better party atmosphere !!

I have to admit that it is CRT breakfast- we did not do it this last time because of the cost but it has the atmosphere and the characters and its always the best way to start the day!!!

Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace are my favorites. Breakfast seems to be my favorite meal at the buffets because it's a bit bigger bang for the buck. The little play I've used in the past, but have found more difficult, has been to get the last seating for breakfast and stretch out the meal until they start to change over to lunch, at Crystal Palace. CP and Donald's get points for allowing you into the parks before rope drop. Another reason I've never done dinner at Chef Mickey's or CP is I'm usually more interested in seeing fireworks in the evening before dinner, and CM closes at 9:30 and CP doesn't seat within an hour of park close.

So I like the idea of Breakfastosaurus, but here's my question...is it possible to get seated early enough that you could eat and have time for your food to settle before Everest/Dinosaur? Because that's where we would be headed first once the park opened, but it would be a bad idea if we were just going to make ourselves sick for the rest of the day.

I think the ADR's start at 8 and the park opens at 9..be sure to make your ADR on a day that is not AM EMH for AK...
Anyway..Dinosaur is literally right next door..and I think the wait time has dropped a little bit since Everest opened so you may not even need a FP for that one...With just the two of you it would take probably under an hour to eat and see all the characters...After eating I would book it to Asia and get a FP for Everest. That way you might be able to hop in line and have a shorter wait if you're not feeling too full OR you could come back and do it later.

We do Donald's on every trip usually around 8-8:30. The last two times, after breakfast Dinosaur had just opened and we walked right on!!!! The restaurant is about 50-100 feet from Dinosaur. Had no problem on Dinosaur after eating. This will be our first time going on Everest so not sure about eating and then riding. I think we will be ok though.

FYI, if you get there before the park opens, a CM walks you back to the restaurant in a group for you to check in.
