Patina group to take over Alfredo's spot
Hi,
If you do a web search for "Patina Group Epcot" you'll come up with a few articles describing this group coming to WDW's Italy pavilion. Guess they run loads of west coast restaurants, one in the Disneyland Hotel. Enjoy. Frank |

Very interesting. We actually have a dinner ADR for Alfredo's last night. Hoping something "magical" happens!

When I first heard about this in the last day or two, I found their website...
Patina Restaurant Group The Naples restaurant in Downtown Disneyland sounds like it would fit in. The other thing I find interesting is that they have several French concepts, I wonder when the French Pavillion's food contracts are up? |

Ohh, the owners of Catal, Tortilla Joe's and Naples. I hope they do well.

Re: Patina group to take over Alfredo's spot
I was confused when you said Disneyland Hotel. It's DTD. Catal is pretty trendy/upscale. What I've seen of the menu, it was over my head. Uva Bar, for those who haven't been there, is an oversized kiosk in the middle of a circular section of DTD (it's very different in size and scope from WDW's) with a nice sized seating area, studed with space heaters to ward off that Southern California evening chill that's almost unheard of in Orlando. I'd expect the new place to mop the floor with Alfredo, at least for the next 18 months.

I have heard that the movie currently showing will cease and another will take its place. And I read somewhere that it was the Disneyland Resort, which I mistook to be the Disneyland Hotel. Guess it refers to a restaurant in Disneyland in general!! Sorry. Still should be good. BTW, we were at WDW last week and had a "snack" at Il Mulino's in the Swan. Place was jammed. We ate in the bar area. Lucky to get a table. They were stacked 3 deep at the bar. Must have been a huge convention there. Anyway, had a pizza which was excellent and their Tiramisu which was out of this world. Amazing!! We actually were restaurant sampling. Did Kimono's too. Place was packed. We got one of the last tables. Soon after they were 10 deep out the door. Great sushi!! The Epcot Resort area has become a real hot bed of marvelous restaurants (imho). Frank |

Re: Patina group to take over Alfredo's spot
>>Il Mulino in Greenwich Village is absolutely incredible. I am so anxious to try the WDW version. I have my fingers crossed that they stayed true to the original restaurant, and also that the whole world loves it as much as I did!<<
It is an expensive restaurant. Pasta is very good, but expensive. $ 20-25 range for a pasta dinner. The atmosphere is very, very nice. With loads of customers, it's really a cool place to go to . Frank |
