Dining ADR are confirmed -- any changes you would make?

Monday
Dinner: Planet Hollywood at 6pm

Tuesday
Breakfast: 1900 Park Fare at 9:40pm
Dinner: Hollywood and Vine at 5:10pm

Wednesday
Breakfast: Hotel Buffet
Dinner: Dine with Shamu

Thursday
Breakfast: Donald Duckasaurus at 8:20am
Dinner: Ohana’s at 9:05pm

Friday
Breakfast: Cape May’s Café at 9:00am
Dinner: Crystal Palace at 8:35pm

Saturday
Breakfast: Ohana’s 9:40am
Dinner: Alfredo’s 8:15pm

Sunday
Breakfast: Hotel
Dinner: Maragaritaville at 8pm

Monday
Breakfast: Hotel
Dinner: At the airport – perhaps on the plane

The breakfast time at Ohana's is really late -- but it was either that or REALLY early and I didnt want that.

Also, I have 3 meals at the hotel. We are not going to Disney parks those days so I was assuming that we couldnt eat at Disney resorts -- but since we have to drive to those places anyways -- could we?

Do you have any other good breakfast ideas?

Thanks!

You can eat at a Disney resort any time you like... but if you want to eat at a park restaurant, you will need to have a park ticket to get in.

If you really want to eat at WDW on those days, try Spoodles at the Boardwalk. Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary is also popular.

Kona at the Poly is also a very good choice for breakfast, you might be able to get an earlier seating too.

Or you could try for a really late breakfast at Ohana, and kind of make it a brunch. Go to the parks early, then head over to Ohana afterwards.

Chef Mickey's is our favorite. No trip is complete without a dinner at Chef Mickeys! It's tradition to have dinner there on our first night there!

Planet Hollywood is NOT on my favorites list...Earl of Sandwich (even though it's counter service) is my must do at DTD. I'm also not a huge fan of Hollywood & Vine -- I'd take Mama Melrose at MGM (but of course, you just asked for our opinions...so I'm offering!)

Otherwise, your choices look great to me! Yes, you can definitely eat at the resorts anytime you wish. I agree, Spoodles at the Boardwalk is a great one to try.

I love your choices. I would cancel a few to give yourself just a bit more room to fly by the seat of your pants, but that's just me. What you have is fine. I just worry that you will find yourself cosumed by trying to get to ADR's on time and missing magic.

I agree with Dana. We did the dining plan last Aug and we were constantly trying to organize our day around our ADRs. It wasn't as relaxed as I would have liked. But this August we are going (not at Free Dining time) and we are just making ADRs for the places we must go to and then just winging it. I'm sure it will be more relaxing this way.

Re: Dining ADR are confirmed -- any changes you would make?

You've got some good choices - but a lot of character breakfasts - of course if character meals are important to you - that's great! But maybe I would cancel one. I also wouldn't eat at Planet Hollywood - the food isn't great and the noise level is almost unbearable. I give a second vote to Earl of Sandwich in the Marketplace - amazing sandwiches!

We did Dining with Shamu a couple of years ago and loved it! The food was good and it was neat to eat next to the whales.

Re: Dining ADR are confirmed -- any changes you would make?

Thanks for the opinions -- and keep them coming. Planet Hollywood was SO not my choice, but it was the ONE place my best friend wanted to eat. She left the rest of the dining plans up to me -- so I figured that was the least I could do for her! :)

I am thinking of moving Ohana's to the following day to see if I can get a better time and trying Kona Cafe that day?

Welcome to MB! Your choices look very good.

We've been to all, except Dining with Shamu and Margaritaville, and enjoyed every one!

Driving to the ADR's, will definitely save you loads of time. We do the same thing and it leaves the worrying and rushing around out of your vacation.

Enjoy!

Re: Dining ADR are confirmed -- any changes you would make?

I think your choices are fabulous!! Someone else said you have a lot of character meals, but if you have kids, I think that's a great way to do meet and greets. It prevents a lot of time in the parks being spent waiting to see a character! Another thing I saw someone say is you may want time to fly by the seat of your pants. I also plan ALL my meals and then plan around it, but we try to do either the absolute earliest or absolute latest ADR times. The most important thing is to PLAN, PLAN, PLAN!!

Have a wonderful trip . . . it all looks good to me!

Re: Dining ADR are confirmed -- any changes you would make?

Actually, one thing you could do is move your Ohana reservation to a LATER time - like the last breakfast sitting. (I think it's about 11 a.m.). Then get to the MK at opening. Do as much as you can there. Take the monorail over to the Poly and have breakfast - it'll actually be brunch and will probably keep you going until late afternoon.
