Chef's Mickey will offer Lunch Buffett, why?

On Deb's website,I see Chef's Mickey's will be offering a lunch buffet for about a week and half. I wonder why? Could this be the time that they will be transitioning the counter service upstairs?

Re: Chef's Mickey will offer Lunch Buffett, why?

That could be why OR maybe they are testing out a possible future lunch buffet?

I have not ever been very familiar with Chef Mickey's... has it not been a lunch place before?

No, it's only a breakfast and dinner place. I don't ever remember it having lunch. Maybe this is because of all the construction they are doing over there and the lack of food options.

Almost sounds like some kind of "test", doesn't it? We love Chef Mickeys but didn't get there last year. Maybe this year, perhaps?

Hehe, I picture you saying "You are correct" in an Ed McMahon voice (do you know who that is?) and ringing a bell.

Re: Chef's Mickey will offer Lunch Buffett, why?

To my knowledge it it because of the number of advance reservations and free dining during that time.

Re: Chef's Mickey will offer Lunch Buffett, why?

Last year during the free dining period, Chef Mickey's was open for lunch the entire month of September. Also, to handle overflow from Crystal Palace, a lunch buffet was also set up at the usually closed Tomorrowland Noodle Station.
Why they're opening for a week and a half now doesn't make much sense if it's to make up for the loss of the Food and Fun Center. Lunch is $20 per adult at Chef Mickey's.
