Need a suggestion for a DTD restaurant

Well, I booked all of my ADR's, which I will post all together shortly, but I need a suggestion for dinner at a DTD restaurant. We've never eaten down there. We are spending the day at DAK (with my in-laws) and my mom is flying in that morning. My thought is that we could finish DAK and go back to POFQ to meet my mom, then take the boat downtown. Or, do you think it's a better plan to meet up and go to Epcot for dinner?

I think you should try Earl of Sandwich. I haven't eaten there myself, but we plan to on our coming up trip. It seems like everyone here loves it.

Re: Need a suggestion for a DTD restaurant

I agree with dznylvr, Earl of Sandwich is perfect for a quick and scrumptious sandwich or so many people here like Wolfgang Puck's Cafe and Fulton's Crab House. I would have to go eeny meeny miny mo between WP Cafe and Fulton's.

Rainforest Cafe is alright but I'd stay away from Planet Hollywood.

Re: Need a suggestion for a DTD restaurant

Earls vote again...I think it's a great place to eat in DTD..mostly because even WITH an ADR sit downs at DTD tend to be packed..I really love Earls and its a nice meal and then you wont be TOO full to walk around.
But as far as sit downs in DTD I have really enjoyed Rainforest Cafe, Capn' Jacks and I havealways wanted to try Raglan Road

Re: Need a suggestion for a DTD restaurant

If you go to Epcot for dinner, that will take a day off of your Mom's park pass, so maybe that's not the best idea value-wise. I vote for Earl also. Although Fulton's is pretty popular, I think the prices there are over inflated, even for a resort area.

Re: Need a suggestion for a DTD restaurant

If you are looking for just sandwiches or a quick bite at a Counter Service: Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Pucks Express are good choices. They are both located on the marketplace side of DTD (IMHO...WGP Express is one of the best counter service in WDW)

If you are looking for a Table Service: Wolfgang Pucks Cafe is an excellent choice. They have a wide variety of menu items and the food is excellent. The restaurant is located on the Westside of DTD.

Re: Need a suggestion for a DTD restaurant

The nice thing about EoS and Wolfgang Puck Express is that they're just across from each other - everyone can choose what they wish - an AMAZING sandwich at the Earl's or a great salad or entree at Wolfgang's. Then meet outside at one of the tables by WPE, relax, eat and people watch.

This is a great idea! I personally LOVE Wolfgang Puck Express, but I see so many posts about how yummy EOS is, I may have to try it next trip!
