California Grill ADR

We have decided that we would like to have a late dinner at CG and to be there during Wishes. How difficult is it to get ADRs for California Grill during Wishes? Do I need to be on the ball to make the ADRs for the night I want?

You better be on the phone at 180 days out or there a real good chance you won't get you ADR for it. The local love the Grill.

Re: California Grill ADR

It's not hard at all. I just made one for a friend for a 7:40seating during free dining...not hard. You will need your Credit card info. There is a $20 per person penalty for no shows. Also be prepared to give your mailing address.

Yes, you have to. The person I booked it for is also on the DP. It's their cancellation policy. People who don't show up or cancel under 24 hours, get hit with a $20 per person penalty.

My pleasure. I have to do the same thing when I book that fantasmic packages, so it really didn't seem like a big deal to do it. As long as you make it there or cancel in enough time, that card will never be charged.

Re: California Grill ADR

We had no problems last year booking an ADR for 10 people at the California Grill. We went in July and I called for the ADR in May. Our ADR I believe was for 7:50, which was a terrific time because we experienced both sunset and the fireworks. You definitely need a credit card as Dana mentioned. When you call for the ADR, you should mention that you would like it to be during Wishes so they can try to accomodate you.

Re: California Grill ADR

You don't need to be seated at show time. If you've eaten at CG that day, say at 4 PM, you can return at 8:45 (7:45 for 8 PM show) and if you present your receipt from that day's meal, you are allowed back upstairs to view fireworks from the observation decks. You can easily take 2 hours for your entire meal anyway, so you can take all of this into account when making reservations.

You're right. We went summer before last just after 8pm and went out to see Wishes before our dessert. It's a leisurely meal!

Re: California Grill ADR

DH and I went there in Jan and it was very nice. The restaurant is a bit loud but the food was delicious. We started with a cheese tray and then went and watched Wishes then came back and our appetizers were ready to be served. I have to say that I thought seeing Wishes from the CG was nice, but not as impressive as they are when you see them from the ground in the MK.

With the ADRs we made ours about 30 days out without a problem, but it was Jan.
